💛 Teacher Wellbeing Check-In 🌍
It’s exam season in many parts of the world… Some teachers are exhausted. Some students are overwhelmed. And for many communities, life outside the classroom is already incredibly heavy. Some of our students are studying while: ⚠️ living through war ⚠️ displacement ⚠️ uncertainty ⚠️ stress at home ⚠️ emotional exhaustion And honestly… many teachers are carrying a lot too. So today, no perfect answers. Just a real conversation: ☕ How are YOU protecting your wellbeing right now? What helps you keep going during difficult seasons? 🌱 A walk? 🎶 Music? 😂 Dark teacher humor? ☕ Coffee? 💛 Your students? 🤝 Colleagues? 🧘 Yoga? 📚 Summer countdown? 😂 You are not alone. 🌍

Chakras through the eyes of a child.
I recently had a student on TFP who showed me her beautifully painted designated yoga room which she had decorated with Chakras and Mandalas. Do we know what they really are and what they represent? How can we fit these ancient ideas into our modern life? How can we use them in yoga classes with kids? I do yoga classes here on TFP. Yoga is movement and yoga is exercise. It's not gymnastics. It's an ancient system but we can bring it into a our modern science perspective using what we know about how our bodies work. This month we'll be working on our rainbows 🌈 and I'll be discussing how moving into our different yoga postures can help us recognise our emotions and help release and support self regulation. As it is Spring we will also bring out our inner bunnies 🐰as we continue to hop for peace. 🙏

A little teacher check-in 💭 (real talk)
Hey teachers 💛 I read something today that really stayed with me… and I want to turn it into a little moment for us here 👇 Have you ever finished a class and thought… “Wow… I kind of just taught that on autopilot.” Not bad. Not wrong. But just… routine. And I get it — we’re busy, we’re tired, we’re doing our best. But we’re also shaping lives. Every single day. So I want to ask you something a little deeper today: ✨ When do you feel most alive in your classroom? ✨ What was a moment recently where your students were REALLY engaged? ✨ And… what’s one tiny thing you’d love to change or try next? And let’s make this a bit more personal… 1) 💭 Who was a teacher that changed YOUR life? 2) What did they do that you still remember? (I’ll go first in the comments 👇) This isn’t about being perfect. It’s about staying awake as teachers. Because what we’re building here — in Teachers for Peace — is not just classes… It’s connection. It’s confidence. It’s hope. And sometimes all it takes is one small shift 💛

🫢Interesting. It depends on the class. My yoga classes are not on autopilot because I'll have a plan but I don't always remember it so I often improvise. Such is life. Yoga is physical and I have to do what my body can do that day, and every day is different. ☃️ I can't usually see the participants usually so I can't always engage with the students unless they speak. Yes, I'd like more tech to see all the students but even when they are on camera they are not fully on camera. 🤪 Sometimes I do too much sitting at the beginning of class which I may need to change. 💘There are so many things that I would love to do better, but as long as I can show up and do it, that is important. As I get older, maybe I'm getting better or I maybe getting worse but I'm over 50 so I'm in the 'I do not care club!' I'm happy to just keep going and sharing the fun and the cal. 🤩 I keep the student's mics on so I love it when they react or respond. 🤩 I'd like a studio and more tech. 🙏 Today I did a sequence that I learned from Liz Lark and who wrote a book that I have from when I attended her classes in India many moons ago. She signed her book and wrote 'creative freedom and fun in yoga'. 🤌 Too many questions Jennifer!!!! link to the replay of my class today. I was sleepy but not on autopilot. https://www.skool.com/teachers-for-peace-global/classroom/3ab4099c?md=3bf429cffea94a899133098bf0912841

Hi Osama, Jennifer went to London for a meeting so maybe she didn't have the session yesterday, even though it was still on the calendar. Sorry.
