Twenty years ago, I was about to switch careers and become a bodyworker and taiji instructor. Then life took an unexpected turnāmy husband became seriously ill and passed away, leaving me alone with our two young children, the youngest just a baby. Right then, I was also working through deeply rooted childhood trauma and facing a tough cancer treatment. The last two decades have been about survival, pouring all my energy into creating safety and quality of life for my children, both of whom have disabilities. I have fought countless battles for my kidsā right to education, friendship, and belonging, all while taking on well-paid management roles to ensure their financial stability. But I never stopped dreaming about following my true passionāhelping others heal and thrive. Now, for the first time in so many years, Iām in a place where I can finally return to what makes my heart sing! This fall and spring, Iām diving into an in-depth training in (somatic) yoga (including Bessel van der Kolkās trauma-sensitive approach) and digital business development, while also exploring creative collaboration projects in marketing, communications, and writing. Iām incredibly grateful not just to have survived, but to have grownāand to call my now-adult kids my best friends. I feel so ready to launch this new chapter with a digital practice and on-site practice Iāve named āSomatic Recovery & Resilience Center.ā Thank you for this space. Iām excited to connect, share experiences, and learn together with all of you! ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø
