Mindful Monday: Noticing Before Fixing
Hello, ladies... Something I’ve been reflecting on lately is how often we try to fix our habits before we understand them. What if the first step isn’t fixing anything? What if the first step is noticing our own behaviour, and that's it? Sometimes our body is already giving us signals long before we realize something is off. A moment of stress. A feeling of restlessness. When something feels uncomfortable, there is a quiet urge to reach for food. Instead of rushing to change the habit, I’ve been practicing something simpler: slowing down long enough to notice what’s actually happening in my body. So I’m curious today: When do you tend to notice emotional eating show up most for you? Even just naming the moment can be a powerful first step. I'm noticing that it's not so much "emotional" eating, but "mindless" eating. I'm tired and I want to stay alert.

Willpower works… until it doesn’t. Most women I work with don’t stop following through because they don’t care. They stop because something inside them is tired of being pushed. When change is driven by pressure, the nervous system eventually pushes back. Not as failure, but as protection. Today, instead of asking, Why can’t I stick with this? You might gently ask, What would make this feel more doable, not harder? Just notice what comes up for you.... šŸ¤

Great questions! I know why changing my diet doesn't feel safe, I'm just not sure how to get it to feel safe. I've tried so many techniques. So much trauma unpacked.
End-of-the-Month Friday Check-In šŸ¤
As the month comes to a close and before the week turns into the weekend, I'm noticing how much this week held. For me, it included worry. My son finally had his surgery, which he's been waiting for...for over a year now. Watching someone you love step into the unknown stirs up a lot of what-ifs, racing thoughts, and stories the mind starts telling before anything even happens. I noticed how easy it was to get caught up in those thoughts... and how different it felt when I simply noticed them instead of believing everything. Nothing needed fixing in that moment. Just awareness. So as this week closes, I'm curious: What moved through you this week? Maybe it was worry. Maybe relief. Maybe just noticing how busy the mind gets when things feel uncertain. You don't need to make meaning of it. Just noticing is enough. Wishing you a gentle landing into the weekend. 🌿

This week was figuring out the logistics of putting the house back together after the mice incident. I think when it's done, it's gonna have more flow than before. I'm excited to see it come into being. Also super excited that we finished the first 3 days of The Inner Money Reset! It's live!

I have an open Root Energy Center (Human Design). That means I naturally feel pressure to do, ALL THE DAMN TIME! It makes rest really hard, but I'm doing it. I'm telling the voice in my head (the one that belongs to someone else) to shut up and leave me alone so I can rest.
