Hello dear blessed community!
This year has brought me a powerful inner journey including beautiful heart opening and the necessary transformation to receive from the universe. There’s also been a lot of letting go of old stories and people too - challenges that were abrupt and not gentle. But gotta get rid of the old ways to make room to go forward, as corny as that can sound. I will be out of the hermit space and back at it with all of you strong & courageous souls very soon. Just felt moved to pop in and say I am thinking of all of you every day. Time for even more abundance and joyful practice very soon! All my love, Jessica ❤️

What that Horse Do?
Peace Fam. 6 days ago, I embarked on the continuation of my Inner Child Healing Journey for Lil Jeffrey with Dr Wu and the 9 Palace Qi Gongs for the Year of the Horse to get Lil Jeffrey's bank up and heal his heart. Dr Wu was teaching the ways of Master Guiguzi and he's a bit "unconventional" to say the very least and this is the result of one the practices he has recommended around visualization before we even begin the first movememnt. I'm year of the Dog, this is the Year of the Fire horse and my external animal to the Dog, according to Chinese Astrology, is the Beautiful Butterfly. And of course, that handsome young King in the center is H.I.M. If you didn't make the class on Sunday, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE practice what you've learned in the replays that @Jessica Eckstein taught and go hard in the paint. You can find all the replays in the Classroom section under Rituals if you just got here. We Good Ova Here isn't just a catch phrase. It's a Real Deal Lifestyle. Peace Sifu Oyi

🌿 Spring Reset Guide + Short Video for the Community
Spring is a season of movement and renewal. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this time of year is connected to the Wood element and the Liver system, which helps the body keep energy flowing smoothly. When the seasons shift, many people notice things like tension, irritability, seasonal allergies, or feeling a little off balance. The goal is not to fight the season, but to work with it. @Amsu Bey El + @Truth Thomas put together a short video explaining how spring affects the body and a few simple practices that can help restore balance. ▶️ Watch the video here:[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33M8lNBSuXI] We also created a free March Spring Reset Guide that goes a little deeper and gives you a few practical things you can do daily. Download the guide here:https://slwc.life/marchresetguide Inside the guide you’ll find: • a simple 10-minute daily reset practice• seasonal food suggestions• gentle acupressure points• reflection prompts for the season Sometimes the smallest adjustments help the body regain its rhythm. Take a few minutes for yourself today and see what shifts. —SLWC.Life | Sustaining Life Wellness Center 🌿

One more thing from the teachings of Dr. Bsolin Wu: spring weather is very variable so we need to take a few precautions to prevent our bodies from going on this roller coaster ride. In the White Cloud Monastery, on very windy days, they stay inside at home. On rainy days, they sleep. This will keep disregulating qi (AKA “evil qi”) from entering the body via excessive wind and dampness. Limit exposure to changeable weather by at least going out wearing multiple light layers for warmth, especially for the chest, legs and feet. Also stay away from cold and raw foods and eat plenty of leafy greens corresponding to the color green symbolizing springtime. Thank you @Slwc Life for this useful guide!!!
Adding Qi Gong to my day is changing things!
OK, so this past Sunday, March 8 I got a chance to attend the Qi Gong class presented by Dr. Wu and I didn’t know what to expect. I feel like I’ve heard the terms Qi Gong and I’ve heard tai chi but I just never really had the opportunity to formally like learn about them and then being in here I already knew I was gonna get exposed to a lot of different philosophies and things that paired well with what I was already doing. It’s very interesting that I’m preparing actually to study TCM coming up and I wanna say maybe like three or four weeks ago out of nowhere my mom starts practicing tai chi and then @Oyi Sun starts introducing @Jessica Eckstein and then it just starts to turn into this whole thing with Qi Gong and like and I’m just kind of in awe it’s been very enlightening so to say So I’ve been practicing first with just what I remember like I know I don’t have the whole sequence or what not down in order but usually I’ll start with like what what moves are naturally coming up for me to do in the moment so I’ll do those and then from doing them it’ll kind of like jog my memory for the other moves but I also will look at the recordings that Jessica did as well to help Yesterday we were practicing as a group and I got a bit of creative inspiration because it was like seeing the yin and Yang animals as or with the fire horse energy. So in the classroom Sunday we learned what are yang animal is and so I’m the year of the pig (yin) and the yang relation to that is the spider and I’ve attached a picture of what I came up with ChatGPT because it was a little hard to imagine a horse spider lol . 😂

@Alisia Moore Thank you so much for sharing your qigong discoveries!!! It’s a massive shift! Also, I worked in the video game industry for years and someone needs to put that spiderhorse in a big boss battle!
8 Xu Practice Check - In
For those that didn't attend the Master Class with Master Wu and are still practicing, I offer this space to log your daily practice completion. It's Day 3 for me.✊🏽🔥🐎 Yesterday, I did it at sunset facing East barefoot on grass. Today in the Horse hours facing the Sun barefoot on concrete, which was in the South. Next session will be facing my birth direction no matter the time. Experimenting with the directions as inner-guided. Even if you're not with the check-in, my advice is to get that practice in to the best of your ability. P.S. I soaked hands in hot water before bed and this rising for first time. Will continue this practice too Inshallah.✨️🙏🏾

@Tshatiqua Farrar Baddal If you are having swelling doing this practice, I have 2 thoughts off the top of my head for you: Always remember to prioritize gentle breathing over everything! There are many movements where it’s pretty easy to hold one’s breath. Do them with lighter force and/or slower and focus #1 on your breathing being very light and steady. Also there are quite a few movements that are definitely a workout for small, out of the ordinary muscle groups. Working those out hard is going to lead to some swelling. The trick is to just go a lot lighter. Just make a gentle movement, not a stretch. Focus on momentum doing all the work for you, instead of your muscles. Daily practice will get you buffed up and flexible really fast and still skip the muscle repair inflammation response!! If you are ever interested in a private session with me carefully checking your form, just reach out. After Dr. Wu has given me the once over, will be fully primed to offer that. Until then, please keep me posted on how you’re doing. ⭐️
