Hey Familia!!!
🎹 What’s up everyone — I want this space to be where pianists push themselves, share their progress, and connect. Drop in the comments: What piece are you working on right now? (Don’t overthink — even if it’s scales, share it.)

I’m still working on my schumann sonata no.1, but maybe will post a recording of mine tackling the allegro-vivace part! I am also starting to prepare Beethoven’s Les Adieux Sonata first movement!
Struggles
Hey Family happy Sunday! What’s the #1 thing that frustrates you most at the piano right now?

Share a short practice clip for feedback
Want feedback on something you're working on? Drop a 30–60 second clip below. This isn’t about being perfect — it’s about being real. Show us your progress, your phrasing, your tone, or your composition ideas. Tell us what you’re looking for: – Expression feedback? – Technique breakdown? – Just want to be heard? I’ll reply to a few when I can — and I encourage others in the community to lift each other up too.

This is the “Introduzione” part of the Schumann’s Piano Sonata No.1, 1st movement. I just finished sight-read the piece like days ago, and is now focusing on combining little chunks altogether. It is my first time posting practice clip online so I’m kinda nervous haha. I let my upper-body available in the video so can check whether my shoulder is tense or not. I have also tried to analyze the harmony and intervals, but not sure if the sound and shaping are projective enough. I am kinda worried that my left hand might sound choppy. Would appreciate to receive some feedbacks!

Welcome to Cliff’s Keys! Big shoutout to the first three members who just joined in. This space is all about helping you take your playing to the next level — technique, storytelling, and making the piano actually speak. Drop a quick intro in the comments — who you are, what you’re working on, and what you want to get out of this community. Let’s get it.

Hi, I’m Jessey, an Indonesian studying classical music in Japan. I love Brahms, Beethoven, and Schubert, also taking on interests in Schumann and Bach lately. As current main focus, I am working on both 1st movement of Schumann’s Piano Sonata No.1 & Beethoven’s Piano Sonata Op.81a. I often find myself “stuck” when figuring out how to combine the “chunks” I have practiced into a whole bigger picture. Sometimes, I have trouble focusing, and might also become less aware mid-practice…hence the autopilot practice. In addition to that, I am still struggling with self-control during performance (especially competition). So I would appreciate if I can get a room to discuss anything about music, whether it is technical or more on the interpretative side!
