@Will Needham Thanks Will, maybe I will just retake the assessment to try out my question
AI Skills Fest starts today (100% Exam Voucher, if you're lucky!)
Today (9AM PST), Microsoft are launching a new AI Skills Fest Challenge thing. It seems quite complicated, but I've done my best to condense all the required knowledge for you, to explain how this thing will work. You can potentially win a 100% exam discount voucher for DP-600 or DP-700, so might be worth it! 1/ Start by registering (here, click on Register Now) for the AI Skills Fest. 2/ Participate in one of the Challenges (you do not even need to complete it): - AI Skills Fest Challenge: Create agentic AI solutions with Azure AI Foundry - AI Skills Fest Challenge: Become a Fabric Data Engineer: Prep for the DP-700 Certification Exam - AI Skills Fest Challenge: Migration essentials for Azure and AI workloads - AI Skills Fest Challenge: Architecture Recipes for AI-Powered Applications - AI Skills Fest Challenge: Protect Data in the Age of AI - AI Skills Fest Challenge: Extend Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat and Microsoft Teams with agents and apps - AI Skills Fest Challenge: Prevent and respond to cyberattacks at the speed of AI 3/ After participating in a challenge, visit https://aka.ms/aiskillsfest/challengesweepstakes to complete an official entry form. For doing this, you will receive one (1) entry into the corresponding weekly Prize Period drawing. There is a limit of one (1) entry per person overall. 4/ Then, Microsoft will run a sweepstake picking random entrants to win a voucher. Every 7 days, for the next 7 weeks, prizes will be drawn. If you won the sweepstake, you should get an email. In total, there are 50,000 vouchers being given out. You only need to apply once, if you don't win on Week 1, your entry will automatically be rolled into the next week's draw.

MS Learn during the exam
Hi, have any of you used MSLearn during the exam? And if yes, any tips on how to navigate it? I feel like the exam is somewhat tight on time, especially since the Case studies take way more time per question than the regular questions. But during the Review phase there should be some time to go back and look up specific things for individual questions.

@Raphael Peltzer I just finished DP-600 exam today I think the key is you have to know what keyword(s) to search it will be helpful only if you already looked up the content before the exam but just forgot the detail / not look into the detail It may be hard for you to find the answer if you have no idea about the question topic especially that ctrl+f is not available so you have to look up what you need in the page

hi @Anthony Oyovwikefe May I know if MS Learn is allowed during the exam? I saw people mentioning the use of MS Learn (including Data Mozart's video) but the exam instruction said this is not an open book exam. I am not sure if something has changed.
DP-600 assessment
Hi all, I am seeing the below question in the assessment (the 50-question set) ==================== You have a Fabric tenant. Your company has 1 TB of legacy accounting data stored in an Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 account. The data is queried only once a year for a few ad-hoc reports that submit very selective queries. You plan to create a Fabric lakehouse or warehouse to store company sales data. Developers must be able to build reports from the lakehouse or warehouse based on the sales data. The developers must also be able to do ad-hoc analysis of the legacy data at the end of each year. You need to recommend which Fabric architecture to create and the process for integrating the accounting data into Fabric. The solution must minimize administrative effort and costs. What should you recommend? A) Ingest the sales data into the Fabric lakehouse and set up a shortcut to the legacy accounting data in the storage account. B) Ingest the sales data into the Fabric lakehouse and use a pipeline to move the legacy accounting data into the lakehouse. C) Ingest the sales data into the Fabric warehouse and use a pipeline to move the legacy accounting data into the warehouse. D) Set up a lakehouse with a shortcut to the legacy accounting data. Ingest the sales data into the Fabric warehouse and add the SQL analytics endpoint of the lakehouse to the warehouse for cross querying. ==================== I will jump the answer and discussion in next reply

The official answer is D While I think A and D just differ by the additional SQL endpoint setup, the official answer says the SQL is "not the simplest", but I think the SQL endpoint should be "added" automatically not by a manual setup. And even you are not using the SQL endpoint, you still need some platform else (notebook?) to do the query? So I don't understand what alternative method could be even "simpler" ==================== The official answer: Since the legacy accounting data is only accessed once a year for a few ad-hoc queries that are highly selective, there is no need to move the data into a Fabric workspace. Shortcuts enable the querying of remote data without having to move the data. Shortcuts are only supported in a Fabric lakehouse. While you can add the SQL endpoint of a lakehouse to a warehouse for cross database querying, that is not the simplest method. The simplest method is to use a shortcut.
