Right, we need to have another little chat about posting and ghosting, because this week has been particularly bad! And yes, I do notice these things. I've got that beady little eye on what's happening in here! 😂 Now, I love seeing you posting your events. That's what Skool Events Daily is here for. But what I don't understand is why some people think they can pop in, drop their event, disappear, and expect everyone else to take an interest in what they're doing. Hang on a minute. How does that work then? We're a community, not a free advertising board! Every person here is trying to achieve something. They're putting time and effort into their events, just as you are, and they'd probably appreciate a bit of interest and encouragement too. But here's something else I want you to think about. The people you're ignoring today could be your future connections, collaborators or even clients. You have absolutely no idea where a simple conversation might lead. Someone running an event today could be the perfect person to collaborate with next month, introduce you to a new audience or become a client further down the line. But you'll never discover any of that if you don't bother taking an interest in anyone else. And there's another side to this. If you show absolutely no interest in what anyone else is doing, don't be too surprised when that same energy comes back to you and nobody shows much interest in your events either! You can't expect a supportive community if you're not prepared to be part of one. Now, I'm not suggesting you spend hours in here every day. Good grief, we've all got enough to do! But taking five minutes to read someone's post, leave a genuine comment, ask a question or offer a bit of encouragement really isn't asking the earth. Des and I are working hard to create opportunities for your events to be seen, both here and through the website. But we can't create those relationships for you. That's down to you. So, here's my challenge. Next time you come in to post your event, have a look around first. See what someone else is doing. Start a conversation. Show a bit of interest.
