Watching the Champions League Final today?
We started by inviting one friend...and his small family for today. Then, my extended family was planning something.....so we invited them too. We went from 4 to 7 and now it is 27. Not sure if I will see much of the match.

Mind-Reading
So, yesterday my daughter (12) started "revealing" stuff from school and said "My German teacher hates me". So, I challenged her. How do you know that? Did you ask her if she hated you? No, of course not. Well, how do you know then, can you mind read? No. But here's the truth, within our own heads we "make up stories". We are meaning making machines and often we are barking up the wrong tree. Tell us about a time you or someone you know "got the wrong end of the stick" by just thinking it.

Problems
We all see problems around us and see people (not us of course) who only see problems. What problems do you see around you that could be fixed by a mindshift?

People stuck in a fixed identity. I was watching a YouTube video yesterday on ‘broken Britain’ and there was guy saying that he’s a bricklayer and can’t get work for reasons I won’t repeat in here as they were a bit bigoted. But it was the line “I’m a bricklayer” that caught my attention. I thought, no, you’re a man who knows how to lay bricks. And if you learnt how to do that you can learn how to do something else and find another way to earn money. But the “I’m a bricklayer” identity is currently keeping him stuck and he can’t see it. Not his fault obviously, as we aren’t taught this stuff, but it’s at the root of a lot of our problems in society.
