Herbal tea for fluid retention, bloating and digestion
I have been loving this herbal tea lately, so I thought I'd share it with you. Here in Brisbane it is winter and often I find I drink less water so gentle herbal tea without caffeine counts towards the water intake. The flavour is mild yet interesting enough. The hero ingredients are: • Fennel seeds – traditionally used to ease bloating, gas and digestive discomfort. • Peppermint leaf – helps relax the digestive tract and can soothe an unsettled stomach. • Dandelion leaf – traditionally used as a gentle diuretic to support healthy fluid balance. Very good for removing the excess fluids • Celery seed (or leaf) – traditionally used to support fluid balance and healthy digestion. It's a lovely, gentle tea to enjoy after meals or whenever you're feeling a little puffy or bloated. If you really want to enhance the effect of it, I suggest you drink 4 cups a day. I personally make 2 cups at a time, with double bag, I keep it in my thermos mug and when it cools down I just top it up with extra hot water. PS. You can just make this blend yourself and buy the herbs in loose leaf, use 1 tsp of each to make 2 cups of tea. Do you have a go-to herbal tea that you always keep in the cupboard?

Doesn't look like we have that in the US. ButI definitely drink peppermint and/or ginger tea. I also have both celery and fennel essential oils (and peppermint of course; I don't think there is a dandelion though) that I use often. I like coriander too. Speaking of gut health, @Naturopathic coach Kelli , do you have any resources on healing intestinal permeability?

@Naturopathic coach Kelli great! I do try to focus on protein and anti-inflammatory so I've got a good start, butI know I have more to learn and change. I'm looking forward to the module!

We have all started somewhere and this is your somewhere. Whether you found us through a Facebook ad, a friend, or just a feeling that something needed to change, you are here now and that matters. Take a moment and introduce yourself below. Tell us: - Your name and where you are from or - What made you finally say yes to this or - And your favourite thing to eat right now, healthy or not, no judgement here 😄 There are women in this community at every stage of the journey. Some are on Day 1, some have been here a while. All of them started exactly where you are standing right now. Very good starting point is the "7 Day Energy Boost" because we all need good energy to get going physically and mentally. With better energy everything else feel less effort :) Say hi. You might just make someone's day. Kelli

Very excited by your super easy methods @Naturopathic coach Kelli ! I just added my meals (I'm happy and proud to report that I have everything I need already!). Really looking forward to some new recipes. I typically eat cottage cheese with fruit and a yogurt with chia, plus brewed cacao. But I'd like to mix it up more so this is exciting! My favorite thing to eat right now... Hmm. Cheese probably? I really miss bread though (gluten-few). I hands good recipes I just need to put in the time to make them.
