Devotional: Strengthened in the Wilderness
Scripture: Book of Isaiah 41 Key Verse “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” — Isaiah 41:10 🔥 Context Isaiah 41 was written to a people facing uncertainty, exile, and intimidation from powerful nations. They felt small. Forgotten. Vulnerable. But God interrupts their fear with a declaration: - I am with you. - I will strengthen you. - I will help you. - I will uphold you. This chapter is a reminder that when the world feels loud, unstable, or threatening, God is steady. 💡 Devotional Reflection 1️⃣ God Speaks Into Fear Before He Speaks Into Strategy Notice something powerful: God doesn’t first give Israel a 10-step escape plan. He gives them His presence. Before provision. Before breakthrough. Before deliverance. He says: “Fear not.” Fear distorts identity. It makes us forget who we belong to. But God anchors identity before He addresses circumstance. You are not alone in the wilderness. You are accompanied. 2️⃣ You May Feel Like a Worm — But God Calls You Redeemed Isaiah 41:14 says: “Fear not, you worm Jacob… I will help you.” That sounds harsh at first. But it reflects how small and powerless Israel felt. Have you ever felt that way? - Underestimated - Overpowered - Insignificant Yet God responds not with criticism — but with commitment. “I myself will help you.” Your weakness does not repel God. It attracts His strength. 3️⃣ The Wilderness Is Not the End — It’s Refinement Later in the chapter, God speaks about making them a “new threshing instrument” (v.15). Threshing instruments separate wheat from chaff. In other words: God was turning their season of pressure into a season of sharpening. The very thing that felt like crushing was actually preparing them for clarity and impact. Sound familiar? Sometimes the wilderness isn’t punishment — it’s preparation. 🪞 Reflection Questions 1. Where have I been allowing fear to speak louder than God’s promises? 2. In what area do I feel small or powerless right now? 3. What if this season is strengthening me more than it’s shrinking me?

Thank you for this
Esther: The Power of Holy Restraint
Esther teaches us this: urgency doesn’t cancel wisdom. Before she approached the king, she fasted. She paused. She sought God. Not every crisis deserves your immediate reaction — some require your quiet surrender first. Especially as women, we have to learn the power of restraint. Before you respond… take it to God. Join me on Skool for our Live Zoom-style Bible Study every Monday at 9PM EST. Next week in the Baddies of the Bible series: Deborah. 🔥
