š„ Carrot or š„¢ stick ā which one actually gets you moving?
There are two kinds of motivators in this world: š„ The carrot people ā they're chasing the reward. The income goal, the dream client, the feeling of finally launching that thing. The what's possible is what lights them up and gets them off the couch. š„¢ The stick people ā they need a little pressure. A deadline, a consequence, a "I told people I was doing this and now I actually have to." The avoiding the ouch is what activates them. Neither one is wrong! I'll go first ā I'm a carrot person with a stick backup plan. š I can feel the vision all day long... and then also sign up for something public so there's an actual deadline. But anymore, I just find deadlines stressful and avoid them as much as possible. Drop yours below š š„ Carrot ā the reward pulls me forward š„¢ Stick ā the consequence pushes me forward 𤷠Both / It depends (And if you want to say why, I'm here for it ā this stuff tells you so much about how to set up your systems and goals in a way that actually works for your brain.)
