Can you create iCord from 1 weight yarn?
Yes, you can. This is the 1 weight Bamboo 7 from Silk City Fibers and it goes through the machine great. The picture shows the difference in size from the 1 weight iCord and a 4 weight. I think you could easily crochet the 1 weight. I will have to try it.

Is the 1 weight I-cord stiff, like tge 4 weight? Or is it flimsy?

Look What I've made.
This is my Shih Tzu, Chip, and four of the hats that I've made. I laid the hats out to photograph and he thought it looked comfy there. 😂
