My biggest barrier is money. I have found deals, but I don't have the money or credit score to finance them. Long story, but I had a franchise deal go way bad and although I closed it two years ago, I am still paying on it.

- 👋 Hi, I’m Jen! I live in Whitehall, MI not far from the shores of Lake Michigan. - I currently have 1 rental (which was my fiance's home until he moved in with me, sooooo does it really count. lol) and want to have 10 rentals by this time next year. - My 3 biggest challenges with RE investing right now are the money to get started, confidence in the areas that I am looking, and confidence in general. - For fun I like to hangout with my now adult children and ride horses. - Something I'm currently obsessed with is work. It is taking all of my time and I would like to have the option to leave.

@Blake Choisnet I grew up on a farm, so horses have been a part of my life for a long time. My daughter and I used to show them, but stepped away for a while. I'm hoping to start back up soon though.

I think all times of year are great for buying a rental. Christmas seems to be a good time because many investors are not as focused on purchasing right now, so there doesn't seem to be as much competition.
