The Truth About Happiness and Achievement.
Stoics call it Hedonic treadmill. The monks call it attachment, the mystics call it a hunger. But without continued practice of seeking success , we will never grow. https://youtu.be/ngZTTC2V7qg?si=R_L8jJInSoYzOYPl

Great stuff! Who am I going to become when I get what I desire is a great question to ponder! One of my favorite quotes is, “The beauty is in the walking -- We are betrayed by destinations.”―Gwyn Thomas Process over product doesn't mean there should be no reward, per se- it just means that the reward is greater when you arrive with already having a state of mood and mind so grounded, so fulfilled to begin with that the success is a byproduct, not the source, of self-satisfaction/realization.

Happy Sunday
Before the week starts calling your name — take a breath. This day belongs to you. Not to your inbox. Not to your to-do list. Not to the endless noise of a world that never switches off. Rest is not a reward for finishing. It's part of the work. Go for a walk. Sit with a coffee. Move your body. Do something that has nothing to do with being productive — and notice how good it feels to simply be a human being for a few hours. That's where the best version of you is rebuilt. Quietly. One Sunday at a time. Aslam

Exactly. I started watching your video and then I started watching it two times the speed and then I had to just start questioning myself. This sort of thing is really important to me because I struggle with ADHD so I know that watching it can help me with my tool kit, but I also know that even if I seemingly save nine minutes, I don’t feel like I have time and that I perhaps feel that I’m behind anyway no matter what I do. One thing that I absolutely will not go without is meditation twice daily, and at least a little bit of exercise.

@Krista Melanson I feel that. But I also feel disconnected or only partially involved if I am trying to get somewhere else and just can’t take things in on a deeper level as a result. It’s a kind of damned if you do damned if you don’t feeling, and I don’t think it’s healthy for us as individuals and certainly not as a society. I’m positive a backlash is coming, and I can actually see it in younger generations they crave truth, purpose, connection… And I suppose so much more I could see how they are refusing to participate in so many ways and in time will reshape the world around us for the better
