In light of the video 15 Essential Hot Weather Pieces, where do you buy your Johnny Collar polo shirts?

With temps unseasonably cold (down to single digits at night, teens during the day) it is definitely handy to have a scarf and overcoat for any adventures out into the winter weather. For church this afternoon, I wore my Jack Victor worsted wool charcoal suit and camel colored wool overcoat. I also wore my brown 100x beaver felt hat and brown PoW check wool scarf as outerwear. Complimentary colors in the ensemble included a smoky grey cotton poplin weave shirt, pink and grey repp tie, and silvery white pocket square. My feet were kept warm, stylish and dry with navy socks and Cole Haan brogues. Since last week was spent either working or with extended family, we never cooked our turkey for our immediate family, but chose to do so today. (Forgive the unsightly background, I don't have all my wall cladding up yet in the back porch)

One of my hobbies is woodworking. Normally I have to make repairs or improvements around the home and don't have time to make something for myself. But last winter, I had a chance to make a box to hold my accessories. The stuff I saw online was not what I wanted. I wanted somewhere to hold my watches (I only have 3, but some room for more), rings, tie clips, necklace, and glasses. This is made from Sonokolin (Indonesian rosewood). Finished with tung oil. In Korea the wood is sold in panels of smaller pieces of wood glued together. So you get a lot of variation from the cream-colored sap-wood and the dark brown heart-wood. It is not perfect, but I am satisfied. Before all my watches were in the small boxes they came in, and my other accessories were scattered in other places around the house. It is nice to have everything together.

The iron I had for over 15 years has ceased to work. I’m looking to get a replacement. Any suggestions on which one to get or a brand?

Later today we are going to Boerne for Dickens on Main holiday event. Plan to wear my brown leather flight jacket and my fedora. I'll update later!
