Thank you Rob, looking forward to it. 🎢
Coming back next month?
This was my first Fix the Mix, and I absolutely loved it, but have a question for the people who've gone before: why did you come back? Do you learn something different every month? Do you come to do the homework just to see how your skills have improved over the past month? Do you come because it's entertaining and/or fun? Do you come just because it allows you to interact with a community of like-minded artists? To those like me whose first FTM this was: are you coming back? Why/why not? I'm probably going to come back next month, but I'd been curious since day 1 of why people would do that, so I thought: why not just ask?

HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT!!
I’ll cut right to the chase… I am beyond stoked to announce that legendary producer (Aerosmith, The Fray), and founder of Produce Like A Pro, Warren Huart, is officially joining the Mastering.com team! Starting this month, Warren will be working directly with our students in our mentorship program, β€œThe Reverse Engineer”, as well as helping our team secure strategic partnerships to help us continue to build the future of music production education. And to celebrate the good news, we’re hosting a special event that we’re opening up to the public completely free. On Tuesday, July 11th-13th, Warren our next β€œFix-The-Mix” Challenge with our team! If you haven't attended a Fix-The-Mix in the past, this extensive 3-day masterclass is designed to get you to break through whatever plateau you’re at as a producer and finally start getting industry-standard, radio-ready sonic quality. You’ll get to watch Warren mix and master a track completely from scratch. We’re holding nothing back on this one. And again, it’s completely free. But the event starts soon, so register by clicking the link below: Free registration for the β€œFix-The-Mix” Challenge (ft. Warren Huart) Come celebrate the big news and completely transform your productions along the way. We’ll see you there… Michael GM - Masteringβ€€com

I have to work during these, but am grateful you have replays. Thank all of you at Mastering.com! I shouted this out to my elitemusiccoaching.com group, so maybe you'll have some new people show up.
Imposter Syndrome is a real thing!
It seems that not many people share their stuff on here, or have not being doing so recently, and I guess it's just as well, as the feed would get clogged up very quickly. But I thought I'd share something anyway, since this video was eight years of so in the making! I filmed it some time ago and have recently done the track to it (Eva Cassidy version of Autumn Leaves). I sing it, I did the video, and I worked with a partner for the production and engineering as my studio is not entirely ready. Two of my children are in it, both the baby and the young man. It's on my new Youtube channel, which is another thing entirely to navigate. It would be wonderful to have your support. Imposter syndrome is a real thing! Thank you so much in advance! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzicYd6lz3U

This sounds very professional, beautiful song!
To bounce or not to bounce?
I was just wondering people's preference when it comes to mixing. Do you bounce out the stems to mix in a clean session, or do you produce, mix and master all in the same session. I keep getting confused as to my plugin chains because of this. Like if I've already put several plugins during production/pre mixing, then should I bounce everything and mix it over before mastering, or should I just go straight on to master as it is? Sorry if this is a stupid question, maybe I'm over thinking things. I believe I have produced and almost mixed a pretty good sounding track and don't know where to go from here.

@Ryan Ross @George Legion Otigbah It's an anagram for Volume Only Mixing Is The Sh*t. Someone came up with it in the chat on one the earlier FTM challenges.
