I'm back!
Hey everyone 👋 It’s been a couple of months since I last posted here, but I’m back and excited to get this group moving again. The mission hasn’t changed: helping you get out of the grind of low-paying lessons and start building coaching setups that give you more income, more freedom, and better students. Over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing more resources, stories, and strategies that have worked for me and other musicians. My goal is simple: make sure you’ve got a clear path to turning teaching into something that actually supports your music, instead of draining it. 👉 To kick things off, I’d love to hear from you: What’s the number one challenge you’re facing right now with teaching or finding students online? Drop it below so I can create content that actually helps with your situation.

I was actually searching on Skool here, but for a completely different group.. found you and it made sense to join!
What's your specialty?
Did you guys go through Jacob's classroom videos, where he talks about finding your focus? For example, 'I help classical violinists develop confidence in an orchestral setting'. What did you settle on for your one-sentence focus? Comment below and let's discuss! The exercise is here btw if you didn't try it yet: https://www.skool.com/musicianfreedom/classroom/5278cb34?md=9bae07a31d3b40e3a2e4d3fb738cc16b

I help music producers accelerate their skills by learning to produce great remixes. Could I word that better?

Thanks Jacob - I like that! And as much as I do like giving established producers some cool tips; there's an excitement in helping beginners in getting started and beyond. Adding Electronic just makes sense too.
The Musician Freedom Roadmap: A Step-by-Step Guide to Teaching Online
Hi Folks! I've been on the quiet side here while I've been working on some front end stuff (I'm starting a new YouTube channel which goes live on Saturday so keep an eye out for that). Now I'm turning my attention to adding a roadmap and a bunch of content to the Skool group, which I will be working on over the next few weeks. These are the essential phases and steps you need to take to generate income teaching online. I'm attaching this as a PDF document for you to take a look at. This is the backbone of all of the content that will be added to this group. I'm VERY INTERESTED in your thoughts and/or concerns about the different steps. And if you have any specific questions you would like to see answered, put them below so I can roll the answers INTO the content. 54 members already, this is awesome. Now let's make some money teaching music online!

@Israel Crawford people buy from people, especially when it comes to training. I believe a face always helps.

Hi I'm Jeff. Burnt out teaching piano, guitar, and a little bass/drums many years ago. Built a recording studio. Started a producer's community (local, NA). Did some workshops, community building, and teaching / consulting other producers. I love imparting creative knowledge to new/novice producers, writers, and composers. Looking to build a way to sell a course, and even 1:1 online coaching on the higher end of things.

@Jacob Evans haven't really done online coaching! It's untapped for me. I've held local workshops, and was part of a large province wide electronic music conference, held a workshop for a packed room 25-30 producers, and had nothing but great feedback.

Blessed by wife and children. Life is an amazing thing. I go fast, so I work on being able to slow down. Music producer, snowboarding, investing.
