What’s the biggest thing stopping you from charging more for your lessons?
Do you feel resistance to raising your prices? What are you worried will happen? How do you decide on what to charge? Curious on your thoughts...

@Corinne Bach This is so opposite to how so many musicians think, and I wish more people had this approach. I've never met a group of people more resistant to getting paid what they are worth.
I'm back!
Hey everyone 👋 It’s been a couple of months since I last posted here, but I’m back and excited to get this group moving again. The mission hasn’t changed: helping you get out of the grind of low-paying lessons and start building coaching setups that give you more income, more freedom, and better students. Over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing more resources, stories, and strategies that have worked for me and other musicians. My goal is simple: make sure you’ve got a clear path to turning teaching into something that actually supports your music, instead of draining it. 👉 To kick things off, I’d love to hear from you: What’s the number one challenge you’re facing right now with teaching or finding students online? Drop it below so I can create content that actually helps with your situation.

Moving to teaching online
Hi everyone, Usually I teach in person but I’m wanting to accept more online students and move my practice online. Does anyone have any advice to do so?

Teaching online is great! I moved all my students online a few years ago and never looked back. By far for me the thing that made teacher online so much more viable was a coaching model. Instead of just singular lessons, I would offer students more support in between the sessions and also feedback on their practice videos (I use a tool called Loom for this). There’s so much more flexibility as a teacher and you can also charge more. It made me fall in love with teaching. Check out the classroom section in this community for some ways to get started with it!
