Fav Band You Can't See live
What's a favorite band that you weren't able to see live? There has to be some rules on this one, so here we go: - You must have been able to see them at some point, but didn't, for whatever reason - There's no likely way for you to see them live in the future, for whatever reason For me, there was a chance I could have seen Concrete Blonde play in New Mexico, but I only found out about the concert the day before, and there was no way I would have been able to make it up to the show never mind getting tickets. Also for me, there's bands I thought I'd never see which I've now seen four or five times, and bands that felt like they were right there which I never caught.

Free Ticket - Skating Polly, Nina Nastasia and Black Ends at Vera Thursday
Hi music pals. I have a ticket to The Vera Project show this Thursday. It's Skating Polly, Nina Nastasia and Black Ends. A killer show that I unfortunately have to miss as I will be out of town. I don't want the ticket to go to waste. If you want to go, DM me and I can transfer the Dice ticket to you. You'll need a Dice account but that's easy and free and a great app for live music events. https://www.skatingpolly.com https://ninanastasiaofficial.com https://gunkpop.com

DJ night
Hey all. I am spinning wax tomorrow night at Life On Mars. Come on over and say hi. Here’s a sneak peak at some of the things I am considering for the set.

How far have you traveled to see a band play?
Cheekface announced two distant 5-year anniversary shows for their 2nd album, Emphatically No. this morning. It got me thinking about maybe a trip out to catch one of them, and I thought I'd toss out a question for you all: what's the farthest you've traveled to see a show? For me, back in late 2019, I flew from Seattle down to Long Beach, CA to catch The Last doing a 40th anniversary show for their L.A. Explosion album at Alex's Bar. The Alley Cats, The Zeros, and Danny & The Doorknobs (a version of Trotsky Icepick) opened. It was an afternoon show, so I flew back after and was back home for dinner. 2nd pic is the Danny & the Doorknobs LP in my lap on the plane home that Vitus Mataré gifted me at the show for flying down to see them.

I joined a friend on a trip from Seattle to Bristol, England, to see Gary Numan acoustic tour in 2023. That said, I travel a lot for work and always check BandsInTown wherever I find myself. I’ve gone to some fun shows that way.
Shudder To Think @ Barboza tonight
Anyone else here going to the show? My normal old guy pals are not so I’ll be there solo. I saw them a few times back in the 90’s and am excited they are touring again. The show is sold out and AXS resale has them at $95 each so if you wanted to go, I hope you got tickets when they were on sale.
