Lisbon's yearly Book Fair (Feira do Livro de Lisboa) openned yesterday (June 4th) and will close on the 22nd. With 350 stands, displaying (and selling) 85 000 different books, 1 million people are expected to attend this free event. There's also music shows every Friday. It takes place in Parque Eduardo VII, in Lisbon (on top of Praça Marquês de Pombal). I'll go back to basics this morning with Ian, asking how we might stay well whilst living well - a definite trend and matter of particular interest among many moving to and living in Portugal. I saw two dear GuMPer community members yesterday - @Nuno Mendes and @Johnny Cocktail - two great chaps with whom the shenanigans continue! Last night's 'Premium Member’s Lounge' was especially profound with American friends sharing their distress and concerns about what's happening 'back home' and looking at how we might balance those concerns with enjoying life here, and now. It clearly helps to talk about these things.

Olá bom dia e bom fim de semana! Tudo bem? Wet weather here in SMdP, although brightening up as I write. Got any plans? Thanks to @Bairr Andy for bringing the Aveiro Craft Beer Fest to our attention. This weekend also sees a couple of cool events in Caldas Da Rainha too, an antiques fair (see @Thunder Duck pic) and the annual equestrian event - XII Oeste Lusitano, which we Munsons visited yesterday (there was a great free video maker there, see pic). The big Gaming event is coming up in Óbidos, next weekend. I think we should add these annual and regular events to our calendar and connect them to the legendary GuMPer map created by @Sara Yurman and updated by @Bairr Andy too. Good idea?
