Let's welcome our newest members!
Welcome to Anointing James and Syed Hassan. Great to have you both here. You've both joined from either PrplJennifer.com via LinkedIn or right here inside Skool. Glad you both found your way in. You've joined a community built for instructional designers who want the real inside track: the tools, frameworks, and methods shaping this field, not just whatever AI take is loudest this week (although we'll talk about that, too). We'd love to get to know you both a little. Feel free to drop a comment and share: - What you're working on right now (a course, a redesign, a stakeholder headache, whatever's live for you) - One thing about your ID practice you're actively trying to get better at - What made you decide to check out this community No pressure to have it all figured out before you post. Half the value of a community like this is thinking out loud with people who actually get it. Now that you're here, let's dig in.

I'm looking for work. My contract ends in 3 weeks. Just finished building a curriculum and showing them the ropes on how to move towards making a certification program. I have created a consultancy business that I'm hoping to launch but anxious about doing it right and finding clients. I am mostly just trying to get better at believing in myself and my skill to believe I have something to offer confidently enough that I won't choke when asked what I can do. I have done a lot of instructional design work, managed LMSs, built individual courses like eLearning, as well as in person and remote ILT. I have no portfolio because all my work has been for the US Government on classified networks. Most of my recent years have focused around full program design with a few singular course builds, but I have done it all. It has been a number of years since I messed with an authoring tool as my work clients didn't want to fork over the money for an LMS and thus had no way to facilitate a CBT/WBT. I like L&D people. I try to connect with them as much as I can. It feels like they are "my" people.

I have been working with AI for a good little bit now. I've begun to see the differences between work that was AI led when it should have been human led and visa versa.
