Hey all! I have access to a facility that would be perfect for practicing the shuttle run, especially with the next one coming up on October 3rd. If there’s enough interest, I could potentially host a full shuttle run simulation this Friday evening after 7 PM at Orleans CrossFit so everyone can get a chance to run through it in a proper setup. I’ve run the shuttle run multiple times myself, so I can also help with pacing, technique, strategy and coaching throughout the simulation. Comment below if you’d be interested, and we’ll gauge numbers. We’d need a decent turnout to make it worthwhile! Let me know! 💪

Who’s registered for 9RunRun on October 17th? I will be doing the 10KM run!

Wanted to flag a great local opportunity for anyone in the group looking to give back, stay active, and connect with Ottawa’s first-responder community. I’ve ran the 9RunRun twice, and I’ll be participating again this year. I also know people who have volunteered at the event, and they’ve thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the opportunity to help support a great cause. 📅 Saturday, October 17, 2026 📍 Village Square Park, Stittsville The event supports the Ottawa First Responders Foundation and brings together Police, Fire, Paramedic personnel and members of the community. 🚦 A couple ways to get involved: • Volunteer — visit the link below, scroll to the VOLUNTEER section and follow the registration link. A great way to give back, meet people and be part of the day. • Run or walk — 5K, 10K, 21K and Family 2K options • Great fitness goal if you’re preparing for the shuttle run, or simply looking to keep your conditioning up afterward. For anyone going through the recruitment process, I think it’s a great opportunity to support our community and get involved alongside Ottawa’s first responders. Event / Registration / Volunteer Info: https://9runrun.ca/the-races/ Hopefully see you out there!
