It's Saturday.
That means one thing in this community, accountability day. This week is done. The sessions either happened or they didn't. The meals were dialed in or they weren't. The standards held or they slipped. No judgment. Just honesty. I want to hear one thing you did this week that was better than last week. One lift, one meal, one habit, one decision. Doesn't matter how small it look, progress is progress and in this community we call it out. I'll start. This week I locked in every session with zero negotiation. Wellll…I restarted the program. I have had a bad habit of trying to lift like I was still in my 20’s (50 now) and I managed to tweak my back, shoulder and wrist not too long ago. I’m fine now, but realized it’s time to stop fooling around and do it right. @Keith Hanenian Esq , your YT video on not ego lifting heavy weight has definitely helped reassure me that I’m on the right path. I always thought that lifting lighter weight meant that I wasn’t going to make any progress. Well, entering yourself means you aren’t making progress either. So, back at it and happy to be here! 😁

The first step
In my late 40s, I looked in the mirror and didn't recognize the man looking back at me. Overweight. Exhausted. No discipline. No standards. I was a successful attorney. I had built a career, a life, everything on the outside looked fine. But physically? I had let myself go. And I knew it. That morning I made a decision. No more negotiating with myself. No more waiting for the right time. I started with one workout. One clean meal. One better decision. 50 pounds later, I'm 61 years old and in the best shape of my life. I'm not telling you that to impress you. I'm telling you because most men in this community are somewhere in that story right now, either at the bottom, or climbing back up. Both are valid. It has taken a really long time, sore joints and hurting back from program hopping and ego lifting with mediocre results to realize I’m not 20-30 years old anymore. I’m committing to this program and working @Keith Hanenian Esq ‘s program the way it’s written. Obviously if I had it figured out I’d be a lot farther along. Ego and pride will wreck you! 🫤

I delayed starting the premium workouts thinking it just wasn’t “enough” weight. I’ve realized I’ve been ego lifting far too long. Today I implemented the 4-day premium workout and dialed my weights way back. Holy crap! What a difference!!! I feel like the muscles I targeted actually got a workout, my joints aren’t tweaked like usual! It’s game on now. Thanks @Keith Hanenian Esq !!
