Speaking up at work doesn’t mean being aggressive. In fact, one of the biggest problems is that people try so hard to avoid sounding confrontational that they become unclear. 🎯 The key is to be clear, calm and specific. Instead of hinting around an issue, explain what you’ve noticed and what you want to discuss. For example: ❌ “Things have been a bit off lately.” ✅ “I’ve noticed the last three reports were submitted late, and I want to talk about what’s causing that.” That’s direct, but it isn’t aggressive. 💡 Being assertive means saying what needs to be said clearly, while still treating the other person with respect. 🎁 Start with the free Building Self-Esteem & Assertiveness course inside the Confidence & Self-Awareness Pathway.
