🐍Elon Musk Announces Grok 3🤔
https://www.crescendo.ai/news/latest-ai-news-and-updates Elon Musk has announced the upcoming release of Grok 3, the latest AI chatbot from his startup xAI. Musk claims Grok 3 outperforms all existing AI chatbots, including OpenAI's ChatGPT, highlighting its advanced reasoning capabilities. The release is expected by the end of the month.

@Pierre-Henry Isidor I've not used that platform but I'll check it out. It's funny how ChatGPT gets all the press because it hit the market first in a meaningful way (general use) but I feel it's pretty far behind other systems. Also the DeepSeek panic in the market was beyond ridiculous. Way overhyped. If you haven't used Grok 3 yet (Grok 2 is baby stuff comparatively speaking) check it out when you can. You'll be impressed.

@Inna K I don't know if it's the only way but that's how I got access to it.
I have good news, and I have bad news
Ok first the good news: I'm working with a potential client (still in proposal phase) for a project that fits well within my wheelhouse: healthcare data. They want to incorporate an AI agent to analyze medical transcription notes and output a list of billable codes to create claims from. The bad news: I have literally no experience creating an AI agent lol. Help. Do I take the gig and figure it out? The AI portion I feel is a small part of the overall app but it's the core of what they want to accomplish. The rest, creating a claim, submitting it to a clearinghouse, the UI, etc. I can handle no problem. It's what I do on a daily basis. The AI agent however, I have no clue where to start with that. I was totally upfront with them about my experience with AI so I definitely will not take on a project I feel that I could not handle but this seems fairly straight forward. Also their budget is fairly small, likely 5-10k for a working prototype so there's that. But if I can nail this then I can add AI to my skillset. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Upwork. I'm using Grok to help me build my freelance biz and this was one of the first intro proposals I sent out. I agree with your approach and that is what I will suggest to the client anyway since the vast majority of the work is the UI and supporting APIs. Grok suggested I look at BioBERT. Have you heard of that? Seems like a good model to start with.

@Joshua Baker oops lol. I thought I did hit reply. I just found BioBERT today so I'm going to play with it this weekend. Give Grok 3 a try. Talk to it like a human though. You don't need to feed it prompts in a certain way like some other LLMs. It's fully conversational and it learns how you speak so it can reply with similar tone and mannerisms. It's wild.
AI for job interviews
I've recently been supporting my 17 year old daughter apply for part-time jobs via the typical online job sites. The process has almost become a assortment of questions, quizzes or even using a chat bot to answer questions. Last night she took part in a recorded interview for a large supermarket. She was asked two questions and her response was recorded for 60 seconds which will likely be analysed by AI. Do you think this is a step to far or should AI be used to select appropriate candidates for a job?

@Patricia Ramos Yeah I can attest to that. Been hunting myself for a bit and even with my extensive experience I rarely get a call back. My guess is that most companies are constantly flooded with apps so they use software to filter and most of the time your resume is not even seen by a person. Crazy. I'm really considering just going full time into freelancing.
My plan for 2025
I hope you've had a lovely Christmas! As we're wrapping up the year, I wanted to share my plans for 2025 with you to grow Datalumina. In this video, I'll go over the master plan that the team and I created. Here are some things I'll go into: - The traffic system that runs 24/7, driving our leads - The SaaS product fueling our pivot to scalable growth - Why we’re minimizing custom development to focus on consulting and productized services If you’re curious about how to structure a business with synergy across products and services, this behind-the-scenes look is for you. P.S. I tried a new style of video where I show you more behind the scenes of what's going on in my life. I plan to do this more often next year. I hope you like it!

Workflow Automations - Python / Code or Zapier / Make?
I'm curious: do you prefer using pure Python / Code for workflow automations, or do you lean more towards platforms like Zapier and Make? If you have a strong preference, could you explain why? Which approach would you recommend for someone just starting out?

I've written automation from scratch and also have used Zapier. I think Zapier has it's benefits (seamless integration with vendors like Facebook Ads) but using it for many things, especially those that never or rarely change can make an app's dependence on that tool too heavy IMO. Total vendor lock-in is not a good thing since you have no control over what they will change or deprecate.
