Tea-Time Question
Hello everyone! I thought it was time for a little bit of fun. 😊 Our GourmetQuilter Studio Corner family is growing so nicely (welcome to all our new members!), so here's a question that I think every quilter can answer... Cast your vote, then tell us a little more in the comments. I'd love to hear your quilting story... and don't worry, this is a judgement-free zone. I suspect quite a few of us may have more than one project on the go! Happy stitching, SusanClaire 🧵 ...because quilting is delicious! Which one sounds most like you?

Currently I’m working on 2 Christmas tree skirts, a mystery, a block-of-the-week and have at least 4 quilt tops cut out and labeled plus quite a few UFOs. I’m easily distracted lol
Be honest... what's the oldest piece of fabric in your stash?
I do actually have a couple of pieces of antique fabric, but I also have lots of older fabrics that I have been reluctant to use as I wouldn't have them any more! Do you older fabrics, we would love to hear about them.

My stash is horribly unorganized so my best guess is the 1990s for oldest fabrics. And I have no idea where they might be. 🫤.
Quilting Retreats
Hi everyone, I love attending quilting retreats - do you? I have attended many retreats over the years, both local in NZ and also some overseas. Many years ago I was able to attend a retreat in London, UK. More recently I have attended several in USA. I have friends who run quilting retreats in NZ, these, of course, need to be supported! Do you love to attend retreats? tell us more, we would love to hear where you go, what you do at retreat and anything else you would like to share about retreats.

I loved retreats and classes: prepping, packing, learning new things, seeing family faces or meeting new ones. Alas, I am no longer able to travel but do enjoy reading about them.
The GourmetQuilter Gazette Issue 3
🖋️ Read all about it!! Yay - a new issue is right here! Vol. - 1 Issue 3 is available now. So exciting, pop on over and have a look at what Shirley made, thank you, your quilt looks great. This is a monthly publication and would love reader in-put, so please let me know if you would like to have something included - thanks. It is available to view and download in the "Classroom" tab, just look for The GourmetQuilter Gazette. Enjoy!

I do like to read about the Dot family. That is one that I have never done but fun to read about.
Please Introduce yourself!
Welcome to GourmetQuilter Studio Corner - a community for quilters, creators and more. Please take a moment to introduce yourself below. What we would love to know: where in the world are you? what sort of quilts or other delicious items do you like to make? what are you working on right now? what does your workspace look like - maybe add a picture? Please also use this space to welcome other quilters in. Thanks, looking forward to meeting you all.

Hello all! I am from a small town in southeastern Nebraska. I have been quilting since the 90's and have tried many different types. I don't think I have a favorite method. Right now I have a paper pieced quilt going, freezer paper block to be done, needle turn appliqué that needs attention and any number of cut and bagged quilts that would like to be finished. I think I have a problem, lol.
