Meta just quietly rolled out a change that will affect how many links you can share on Facebook and if Facebook is part of your traffic strategy, this matters. Starting December 16, certain Facebook profiles without Meta Verified (including personal profiles using professional mode) will be limited to sharing links in just 2 organic feed posts per month. Once those 2 posts are used: ❌ You won’t be able to add links to additional organic posts ❌ Unused links do not roll over ❌ The limit resets at the beginning of each month To share more than 2 links, Meta is pushing users toward a Meta Verified subscription. 📌 WHAT LINKS ARE AFFECTED? This applies to: • Links in organic feed posts What’s not limited: • Comments • Supported affiliate links • Links shared across Meta technologies (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) 📌 WHY THIS MATTERS If you rely on Facebook to drive traffic to: • Lead magnets • Offers or products • Affiliate links • Newsletters • External websites This change can directly impact visibility, clicks, and sales if you’re not prepared. 📌 WHAT ARE YOUR OPTIONS? You have a few paths forward: 1️⃣ Subscribe to Meta Verified This removes the link-sharing limit and includes a verified badge + additional account protection. 2️⃣ Be more intentional with link usage Use your 2 monthly link posts strategically and rely more on: • Value-based content • Profile links • Pinned posts 3️⃣ Diversify traffic sources Lean more into platforms like Instagram, Threads, email marketing, or communities (like Skool 😉) so you’re not dependent on one platform’s rules. 📌 FINAL THOUGHT This isn’t about panic — it’s about awareness and adaptation.
