Happy Thursday everyone. It's back to typical San Francisco summer day with 60F and fog. I do think if it were warmer and nicer temperature wise, more people would paddle here. My workout today is another stretch it out session before a rest day tomorrow. Phew. What's your workout today?

My workout was swimming at the gym this morning, which felt good and stretchy.
2 minute erg test improvement
Last month my 2-minute erg pull was 415m. This month it’s 449. It’s nice to see some significant improvement!

As I continue to prepare for Team USA trials, I need to make sure my base stays strong. Last week, I was on the water 6 times and put in over 40 miles of sprint work... that's a lot for sprint work. Over 7 hours on the water. This upcoming week will be similar to last week, but with a little more progression. Another cool thing this past week was that Ryuichi (5yo) and Harumi (4yo) both went to Keiki practice and had fun on the water! Even Tatsu (11 month) got on a canoe! Paddled 37.7 miles from Avalon to Newport Beach in an oc2 relay. We got 3rd place in the Women’s Sr Masters.

@Tek Li We switched every 30min except that my twosome did about 45min as our last piece (brutal)

@Tek Li advice: eat/drink more carbs between pieces than you think you need and dont forget to supplement electrolytes too.
