Tender advice
What’s the #1 mistake you made early on that you’d save others from? No judgment — just wisdom. I’ll go first. We jumped in head first with 20 chicks of all different breeds. It was fun but we ended up with about half of them roosters. I’d recommend finding what purpose you have for them and then sticking with a couple breeds designed for that. Don’t just go with all the fun breeds you can find. Also, have a second coop ready and available for if you have to quarantine early. 😅

We built a coop to hold approximately 20 chickens. Don't be surprised if they all lay eggs in one nest box. We built them a run attached to the coop. Not covered. They flew over. So now we free range on our 4 acre property. I find overall health is better.

I already have 3 chickens that follow me like a dog. They even come when I call them by name. I love my chickens.
