Need advice!!!
Hi there!! I'm Jules, and I've been doing this professionally for 2 years and for fun 10+ years. My first request for insight is this: I currently shoot with a Canon 5d MK IV and have been slowly saving up to get the lenses I want, one at a time. I shoot right now w/ a 24-70mm 2.8 and an 85mm 1.4. Also considering switching to the R6. My question: is it worth it to get the 35mm 1.4 right now, or should I focus on saving for a new camera first? I love the look of the 35mm, it's an obvious workhorse. I know I want to switch to using two primes instead, but I've had to replace a lot of tech already this year and it's starting to affect finances. I find several issues with chromatic abberation and general distortion from my 2.8, it's years old and seems to not be as sharp as it used to be. Not sure how I can fix that or if it's just the wrong lens for low-light natural photography (my favorite). Any and all advice is welcome!!

I think you should stick with what works, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it ✌️
A7RV flash issues
I recently bought the Sony A7RV and immediately started to panic when I couldn't get it to communicate properly with my transmitter Flashpoint X2T paired with the AD200 pro. I never use it on TTL but still want the option, though it seems this is one of the issues with all Sony models that have the new menu system. I'm not sure if that's been fixed yet but crossing my fingers that the firmware update did it's magic while I was asleep last night lol I'm also having something of a brain fart cuz I can't remember how to fix the banding issue at the top of the screen without locking me into a 1/125 shutter speed. Any suggestions?

I don't shoot Sony so I can't really help you here, try asking reddit 🤷🏼
AI in Editing
Hi! Feeling like I have barely scratched the surface with AI capabilities in Lightroom specifically. Anyone have any tips or thoughts on new capabilities or Lightroom that have changed the game for you? When trying to complete galleries as quickly as possible, I feel like it's easy to grind through and miss out on learning new things/adapting new processes - trying to be better about this!

I heard there's ai presets now which adapt to each picture specifically

18% Gray
Many know that our camera metering averaged to 18% Gray. But what is 18% gray? I attempted to verify that for me I was in a store and there was a display of poster board. Using my phone I took a picture, to fill the frame. One is black the other white. Have you seen 18% Gray? Comments?
