PRINTS!
Has anyone ever had their photos printed in a layflat book just to have on your coffee table?? If so, what service did ya use?! Having some format glitches with mpix and im getting nervous the final print will be wrong!

Why not. ;)
I’m Very Curious 🤔
Hey everyone! This thought just passed my mind and figured I’d get a conversation going on it. As a wedding photographer, I’ve had moments where the clients have asked for the RAW photos and I know many people have asked if those are “available” before the photos have been taken. My question to ya’ll is why… why Do we think they actually ask for them? Do they have the software to veiw and edit them, do they have friends who edit them or is it something they think they need to ask for because of social media ect. (I could go on about the whys) Besides the obvious understanding that if they don’t like the looks/edits or just want all the photos. That I get but still what are they going to do with them or what do they do with them? Ps: I’ve had very particular client that really wanted them and ended up printing allll the raws inside the grooms suit jacket 😅🙈 Curious on everyone’s ideas, thoughts, knowledge, experience and opinions!

It’s a phenomenon that has increased recently. They think because they have the RAWs, they own ALL the rights. They don’t think that’s have to BUY the RAWs/Rights separately. Where I am, the average buyout for commercial clients is the Shooting fee x 200%. Agencies do that most of the time, then I’m out. Art Buyers do negotiate buyouts for certain things, certain regions or countries or medium where the pics will be used. But why private folk need the raw files is still a riddle. I assume that they don’t know that copyright laws exist. The average person BELIEVES that because they are in the picture and they paid a few quid, they own the copyright. They don’t understand that they have only LICENSED the images for any private usage they see fit. They have no commercial rights. I’m sure some of you folks have other experiences. I would love to hear/read…
