@James Dawkins I have not eaten carbs in any significant amount in 4+ years. Basically strict carnivore. I always wondered why I am eating only meat, but cannot for the life of me change the color on a keto pee strip. Thanks to your explanation I now understand why. My daughter tried carnivore some time ago and showed me a picture of her keto strip being dark purple. But she had only been on carnivore for about a month when this happened. This would seem to make sense given your explanation.
@Patricia Walters Good point. I'm not of the mindset that believes that we will necessarily crave something, because we are deficient in it. If that were the case, then why do so many people crave junk food? Are we deficient in ultra-processed garbage? Especially when it comes to salt, I don't believe deficiency = cravings.
What's the difference of "Trust me, I'm a health coach" vs "Trust me I'm a doctor, dietitian, or biologist" in mainstream practice, and why is the former a POSITIVE towards metabolic health?
@Patricia Walters "most people don't believe they can be in control of their own health journey." That is the problem with modern day society and health paradigms.
How do you approach a client who has fallen off the planned approach to the Carnivore Diet? If it's a first time occurrence vs recurring, in what ways does the approach shift?
I have a grounding sheet on my bed and noticed I sleep better at night. Also my hsCRP on my last bloodwork was .57 however, it was always a bit more elevated in the past. But yes, depending on the client and their circumstances I would sometimes recommend a grounding sheet.
