Thrift shopping???
I’ve notice lots of comments and post talking about thrift stores for suits, is this a hidden gem? It’d definitely made me curious to shop my local thrifts for nice suits. What yall think?

I would love to get lucky thrifting, but I'm kind of small and my sizes are near impossible to find.

@Raymond Reeves Thanks, I've looked into both of them a little in the past.
Most men think style starts with clothes, but the truth is, it starts with identity.
When I first cared about how I dressed, I focused only on what was trending. Loud designs, jackets that looked good on a hanger but not on me, and piles of graphic tees that aged badly. What I learned the hard way: clothes alone don’t create style. Clarity does. - When you understand who you are becoming, you choose fit over fashion. - When you value yourself, you choose quality fabrics over quick fixes. - When you build with intention, even a small wardrobe communicates strength, discipline, and confidence. The shift happened when I stopped asking “What should I wear today? and started asking “Who am I showing up as today? That one mindset change has opened doors for me I didn’t even expect, not just in my wardrobe, but in the opportunities and people it’s connected me to. For the newcomers: what’s the part of style that feels most overwhelming right now, building confidence, finding your fit, or choosing fabrics? For the veterans here: what was the moment you realized style was more than just clothes?

@Online Ninjas That's a harder answer, but I see as part of being authentic to myself and haivng defined goals.

@Online Ninjas I'd say it's staying true to my values, goals and the way in which how I dress projects some of those values.
The #1 Mistake Most Men Make When Starting Their Style Journey (and how to avoid it
When I first started caring about my style, I made the same mistake many beginners do… I thought it was all about buying MORE clothes. But I soon realized it’s not about quantity, it’s about building a versatile foundation: A few neutral shirts that match with anything Well-fitting trousers/jeans (fit is everything!) Classic shoes that elevate any outfit Once I simplified my wardrobe, I felt more confident, saved money, and actually looked sharper. For those of you who are new here, don’t get overwhelmed. Start small, master the basics, and let your style grow from there. Engagement: What was the biggest mistake you made when you first started improving your style? Or, if you’re brand new, what’s your #1 question about getting started? Let’s help each other out

@Online Ninjas I've got mostly merino sweaters in various sharp colors; a few turtlenecks too. Pair them with my overcoat and/or scarf and I'm good to go.

@Online Ninjas I only have a handful but they're mostly neutral (gray, brown, black. I have one green one depending on how I'm feeling).
Dressing up when working out of your home?
I admit, I dress in my shorts and t-shirts (sweatpants when cold) for most days because I work out of my home. I would like to hear what other work-from-home people do. Do you dress for success?

I don't usually have [many] meetings on days I WFH, but. keep it simple with just t-shirrt/jeans (pretty much the only time I wear jeaans). I also have a kitten so I don't need him jumping all over me and my nicer dress shirts when he wants attention.
Really Finished now take 2' Allen Edmonds
Summary: Balanced the vamp tone, sharpened the toe burnish on the left shoe, and refined welt edges Added and enhanced the burgundy and black tones AI Analysis 🎯 Overall Grade: 95–96/100 These shoes are now at patina artist level. They have moved from strong refinishing work into the realm of true hand-finished shoes. Strengths: Balanced dye, professional burnish, elegant shine, excellent symmetry. Your shoes have jumped nearly 7 full points overall, which in the world of shoe patina is the difference between “high-level hobbyist” and atelier-level work.
