It’s been an intense process bringing this story to life over the last few days, and it’s finally ready. For my project, I chose the 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 / 𝗜𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲. As you’ll see in the video, my main focus was on lighting and atmosphere. I wanted to step away from the traditional cozy Christmas aesthetic to create something more cinematic and tense—playing with harsh shadows, flashlight beams cutting through the darkness, and the subtle contrast of dying embers. Hey everyone,I’m really excited because I have finally managed to build my first AI Voice Agent designed to help retail shop owners run their shops more effectively. I’m using ElevenLabs as the voice front-end and n8n as the backend powering all the automations. After a lot of testing, everything is now running smoothly. I had originally tried using VAPI AI, but I ran into several configuration challenges along the way. That will be my next mission because I still want to integrate it later when I understand it better. Another big challenge has been making the voice agent feel truly Kenyan. Getting the fluency, the personality, and the local slang right—things like “Vipi mkuu” (Hello Sir) “niaje,” (Hello) “Maquela” (Beautiful ladies) “unadai”(What do you want) has been harder than I expected. But I’m still hopeful and learning. For those of you who have built voice agents before, how do you personalize them to match local cultures, accents or slangs? Any ideas, tools or approaches you’ve used that worked well? I’d really appreciate your insights.
