@Robert Christopher from what I’ve heard form YouTube comparisons, the QC sounds amazing. I even looked into making the jump, but my workflow with the Helix is something I’m super confident in. When I was heavy in my research and strongly considering it, the Stadium got announced. I think that’ll be my direction when the time comes.

@Joey Cobra @Jackson Franke yea, I read somewhere the Stadium is more for “full stage use” and guitar players are wanting a more stripped down version with only guitar features to save on costs. For me, the new amps sound exciting, especially with that “screen control (or whatever they call it when you drag your finger across for different sounds)” but I like the idea of more DSP for effects and amps. I’d love to have just one preset that’ll cover everything from oceans of reverb to full poly pitches and all gain stages. It looks like the stadium will be something to handle all of that. But amp tones on any current helix or HX can drastically be improved with third party IR’s. Because it’s not a “need” for me at the moment, I can’t justify spending that much money on something I already can get many projects done… but o often bring it to conversation with my wife in case she forgets when my birthday rolls around 😅🤘🏽
Wireless
Does anyone use a wireless system for your guitar? If so, what are some recommendations?

@Kaleb Blankenship I rocked a G30 for long time. Up until I sold the rocketship pedalboard and went Helix. Loved it
Sunday Service
How was everyone’s Sunday? Did any of you play on stage today? For me, we practiced a setlist during the week and on Saturday, the first song got changed to a medley of I Thank God/Glorious Day, which I had never played before. Needless to say, I practiced and learned it all evening Saturday. It went well this morning. Praise God for allowing me to get it done.

We had an amazing service this morning. Just a 4-peice today. Wife singing/keys, one of my best friends playing rhythm electric and singing, me on bass and a young drummer who's come an extremely long way. One exciting thing we did was tag Holy Ground's bridge after Something has to break. It was a last minute call during rehearsal, but just landed. I'm getting chills just thinking about it again! God moved and 2 people gave their lives to the Lord today. I can't wait to get coffee with the boyfriend this week.
Never too old
I saw a few posts where a lot of us are up in years but still have the desire to offer our talents to our respective Churches for Worship. I retired and live in an area with limited “talent” and older folks. We have a Worship Pastor in his late 20’s and a couple of youth as singers but all of our instruments (Drums, Bass, Acoustic Guitar and myself on lead) are late 60’s or early to mid 70’s. We actually have a really great group and the sound is awesome. Would love to hear some of the group’s stories and experiences

A wise man once said, "Age is just a number." I loved playing with seasoned musicians both in and out of church. It forced me to grow not only as a guitar player, but as a musician. I learned so much and have had opportunities to even show the "veterans" how far equipment has come. I'm now in a position where I get to direct some of our youth that are joining our team and have the privilege to take them under my wing like I was under many others. But not every time isn't always easy. My mother-in-law is a fantastic piano player. She has a degree in Organ from Penn State (didn't even know that was a thing) and she joined our worship team maybe 7 months ago. She hasn't played live worship since the early 2000s. So when she joined... She sounded like she was stuck in the early 2000s. Am I against that sound? Not necessarily, but as the MD, I'm aware that our church is aiming to be current. So there had to be constructive feedback that was carefully done. Luckily for me, she was already in love with current worship and was able to adapt. Other musicians, not so much. I've even been challenged by some old timer's in our congregation because my guitar playing sounded like "The Devil's Music", but I stay close to my Pastor's heartbeat, vision, and direction for our church. I am confident in what God says about me.

@Don Darsey Jesus spent time with people as they were. Not just the religious leaders. Jesus not only had compassion for the people, but truly accepted them all. Yes, my church has a structure, but we accept people as they are. When I play worship, I play what comes out of me. God doesn't expect me to pray like I'm reading a Shakespeare story because that's not how I talk. So why should play guitar and worship like anyone else but me? I've seen this in many members throughout my church and I love nothing more than a true person serving they way they know how and not "trying to follow the rules"
Helix for zoom calls!
If I wanted to run my guitar and a sure sm58 mic through my helix into a laptop how would that work for zoom calls? And on my computer how would I route my usb to the zoom call audio?

I was typing out an idea, but thought "why not just copy/paste your question as a prompt into ChatGPT" Way better and organized than I was going to be. Hope this helps!
