Never too old
I saw a few posts where a lot of us are up in years but still have the desire to offer our talents to our respective Churches for Worship. I retired and live in an area with limited “talent” and older folks. We have a Worship Pastor in his late 20’s and a couple of youth as singers but all of our instruments (Drums, Bass, Acoustic Guitar and myself on lead) are late 60’s or early to mid 70’s. We actually have a really great group and the sound is awesome. Would love to hear some of the group’s stories and experiences

@James Castaneda Thank you for your response and what a great insight for us “old timers” transitioning, like myself, into modern day Christian Contemporary music. I, probably like you and others, began playing 60’s and possibly 70’s Rock due to the British Invasion and then Eagles. The same tones and effects are now used in the music we are now playing. I never thought I would be playing on a Worship Team and enjoying serving in this capacity. The music we play today is written and composed by truly gifted and passionate artists who focus on Gods calling in their life!
