How to choose your surf board !
The main thing you wanna keep in mind is : You wanna flotte ! The more you flotte / the more you will catch waves or white wash will feel like a wave Bigger boards don’t mean your a bad surfer, and it brings more fun to your journey, ✅ They are great to learn : - Back and front foot pressure - Catching your own waves - Paddling fast - Accelerate while paddling - And balance laying down ❌if you struggle with the things above, maybe you need a bigger board

I’ve been surfing and coaching for years, and I still love surfing bigger boards, they are so much fun and catch waves super easy!
TIPS 1 - the EYES 👀
Look Where You Want to Go 👀🏄‍♂️ Essential Skill: Just like driving a car, where you naturally look down the road to anticipate and react, surfing requires you to look down the line of the wave to direct your movement. • Explanation: When you look where you want to go, your body naturally follows. In surfing, this means looking down the wave, not at your feet or the board. By focusing on your destination, you’ll start turning and moving with more control and fluidity. Imagine dancing with your partner.. you’ll never look at your feet, I mean you shouldn’t, you just want to look at your partner even if your feet are not doing the right thing. • Advanced Tip: Practice looking farther down the wave than you think is necessary. This will help you anticipate the wave’s next section, making it easier to link maneuvers and improve your flow. Try imagining the wave as a road unfolding in front of you—keeping your eyes on the “road” keeps you on course. • Visualization Drill: Stand on land, close your eyes, and imagine a wave peeling in front of you. Picture yourself looking where you want to go, turning your head and shoulders in that direction. The body follows the eyes—train this habit out of the water to make it instinctual in the water. I love this, one of the biggest problems I see in beginner surfers is looking at the board and falling over, just keeping your head up improves your balance so much!
