Never had 2 plants fill up my tent like this. I think I flipped a little too late. I’ve never defoliated or the other thing. Can’t seem to remember what it’s called. The reason I’m here is cause I don’t know if I need to do anything or what I need to do for these 2 ladies.

That’s a good problem to have! I think a little topping on some of those tallest branches would’ve been useful to keep the height a little more even, but other than that you’re looking pretty good! I love seeing full plants haha. At this point now I would just remove some of the larger fan leaves up top that block light penetration, and I would clean up the bottom pretty heavily. I tend to remove any bud sites & leaves that aren’t getting direct light, or close to it. Come harvest time, they aren’t really worth anything anyways. It can be hard to tell where to cut at first, but I tend to start from the bottom up and just reassess as I go. Start with the obvious cuts, and you’ll get a clearer idea of what you want. It grows back so fast anyways, don’t worry too much about being perfect. The goal is better airflow, and better light penetration, while removing the waste material that doesn’t get light. I attached a picture of the lower parts I would cut off. You could def go more aggressive but that’s a good place to start. But you’ve been killing it man! I love seeing the updates here & on Insta. These should finish up nicely šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸŒ±
Mushrooms in my soil
I had a few mushrooms pop up in my soil and just curious if this is good, bad, or somewhat common? The two plants are clones that I took of my first grow from the Triple Berry seed I found in the dispensary flower. I cut these clones on 6/13/2025 so they are almost a year old. I am harvesting tomorrow morning which will be day 82 of flower. I wanted to harvest last Sunday but life got in the way. I fed these two pretty aggressively this round, wanted to see how that would affect them. I fed them the General Hydroponics Flora Series liquid feed twice a week until week 8 of flower and started my flush after that week. They have also only had RO water since January, before that it was distilled water. The mushrooms were a very bright fluorescent yellow when they first popped up, I pulled up the initial few when they were like little nubs. I finished my flush last Saturday and just let the ladies dry out a bit. When I looked in the tent Thursday morning, the mushrooms looked like what is shown in the attached pic. I’ve read that in general gardening, mushrooms in your soil means the soil is healthy but just wanted to see if anyone here had any insight or have experienced this with their cannabis grows. Thanks for the help!

Very cool man! šŸ„ I always love seeing mushrooms. I view it as a positive personally, since mushrooms are basically the "fruits" of a good established fungal network. But it doesn't mean anything significant either way. Very rarely is it a bad thing, but you don't HAVE to see mushrooms in order to have healthy soil either. Just don't eat it haha Those buds are looking super chunky though šŸ”„I'm glad to see you sticking it out, and it's pretty badass you've been able to keep this around just from a bag seed. I think it's cool to think of so much coming from just a tiny little "free" seed from more than a year ago. Great job!!
DIY Smoke Room
I don't think this one will be relevant for everyone, but I finished a section on making an indoor smoke room that keeps odor away. Click "here" to go to that article. It's basically just an indoor carbon filter + fan, but you can get creative with the setup placement & make some really cool spaces inside. I plan on turning my closet into a "lounge" but for now it's just a boring room with chairs. I'll update some pics once it's looking more interesting & entertaining. (I actually plan on making some cool high-tech versions of these in the future, that include hidden ventilation, etc.) This is one of the first things I setup if I don't have good access to private outdoor areas or if I just want to keep my house smelling clean. I'm not a huge fan of stale smoke smells. It's also a decent one for anyone who has children or pets and want to keep them away from things. You don't necessarily have to run outside, or to the garage with the door open. You can create a temporary "off-limits" area that's actually enjoyable to be in. The best part is that you can still have people (or kids / pets) allowed in the area once you give it some time for the odor to clear. I'm talking 30 mins to an hour (if even that) and no one knows a thing! This is the very first article in the "Stealth Growing" section. I'll add more topics as they pop up in my life. Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions! 🌱

@Alexander Rodriguez Definitely give it a try! If you seal the cracks, a carbon filter in that room should work pretty well with minimal smell outside the room. 8x8 is a reasonable size too, I'd expect a 6 inch filter + fan to work great for ya. You could prob get away with a 4 inch setup, but I'd shell the extra couple bucks for the 6 to be safe. Def a lot cheaper than sending air outside haha
I'm Back! + Updates 🌱
So I am officially relocated to Fresno! If you didn't know yet, I moved from Tucson, AZ out to Fresno, CA because my fiancĆ©e got accepted into her doctorate program out here. This last month has had a TON of drama around moving, but I have everything settled now and I'm moved over and (mostly) unpacked. I've been really quiet on here while I've been running around putting out fires, but I'm finally getting back into adding content daily, and building out the Skool. Unfortunately, I am also back to the apartment lifestyle. This means making due with limited space, little to no outdoor growing, and finding myself on the much more low-key side of things again. But that just means I get to show you guys how to make it work! šŸ˜Ž Dealing with some of those challenges can lead to a lot of creativity and resourcefulness, which I always try to encourage. I actually plan on building out a whole section in the classroom on "stealth growing" and some of the tips & tricks I've learned over the years to avoid headaches, so let me know if that's something that would be useful to you! āš ļø Please follow all your local laws still. I intend to make that section as a way to help you minimize nuisances, and maximize the value of the limited spaces you have available. āš ļø That being said, I did have to downsize a little and I'm only going to have 1 indoor tent up for flowering (although you guys never got to see the others anyways). Thankfully, I was able to bring most of my clones / mother stock with me, so I'll have a bit of a jump start with some badass genetics to show off, and I'm lucky enough to have a small garage I get to use as a soil workshop. šŸ‘€šŸŒ± I won't have the full backyard garden like before, but I do still have a small balcony / porch area that I'll be using to make a little personal garden. No matter where I go, I'll always find a way to grow some peppers, veggies, herbs, or maybe even a little tea garden. It's one of the small things I really enjoy, and I encourage everyone to do the same!

@Brian Burton Thank you brother, I really appreciate the kind words! šŸ™ I think cutting back can be good. I've gotten a little out of hand at times haha. Take a little breather, and come back when you're excited about it again. Summertime is the best season to skip anyways, at least in Tucson. I actually think that's good for almost everyone. I've started viewing life as "seasons" a little more. There's times where you'll be super busy & running around doing stuff all the time. And then there should be seasons where you take it a little slower & reset. I've found that keeps me in balance. I stay productive, while also enjoying the things I do and having some amount of time for new ideas / perspectives. Appreciate you sticking around from the get-go. I still owe you some samples one day! šŸƒ

@Leslie Miller Dang! I don't even remember that one haha. Def came a long way. And kind of. I have some really small plants in 4 inch pots, and a few clones that are growing roots right now. I should get the tent up & running next week and have everything back to normal around then. Just waiting on the maintenance man to come by first
