Mushrooms in my soil
I had a few mushrooms pop up in my soil and just curious if this is good, bad, or somewhat common? The two plants are clones that I took of my first grow from the Triple Berry seed I found in the dispensary flower. I cut these clones on 6/13/2025 so they are almost a year old. I am harvesting tomorrow morning which will be day 82 of flower. I wanted to harvest last Sunday but life got in the way. I fed these two pretty aggressively this round, wanted to see how that would affect them. I fed them the General Hydroponics Flora Series liquid feed twice a week until week 8 of flower and started my flush after that week. They have also only had RO water since January, before that it was distilled water. The mushrooms were a very bright fluorescent yellow when they first popped up, I pulled up the initial few when they were like little nubs. I finished my flush last Saturday and just let the ladies dry out a bit. When I looked in the tent Thursday morning, the mushrooms looked like what is shown in the attached pic. I’ve read that in general gardening, mushrooms in your soil means the soil is healthy but just wanted to see if anyone here had any insight or have experienced this with their cannabis grows. Thanks for the help!

@Jake Hudecek thanks man! Yeah I for sure won’t eat them lol. The buds are looking bigger with these two and I am excited to see how they smoke. These are my last two clones from the mother, had 11 al together, gave away 6 of them about a month after cloning and held onto 5. It’s been a great learning experience with all of them. Thanks for all the great help and guidance!
I'm Back! + Updates 🌱
So I am officially relocated to Fresno! If you didn't know yet, I moved from Tucson, AZ out to Fresno, CA because my fiancée got accepted into her doctorate program out here. This last month has had a TON of drama around moving, but I have everything settled now and I'm moved over and (mostly) unpacked. I've been really quiet on here while I've been running around putting out fires, but I'm finally getting back into adding content daily, and building out the Skool. Unfortunately, I am also back to the apartment lifestyle. This means making due with limited space, little to no outdoor growing, and finding myself on the much more low-key side of things again. But that just means I get to show you guys how to make it work! 😎 Dealing with some of those challenges can lead to a lot of creativity and resourcefulness, which I always try to encourage. I actually plan on building out a whole section in the classroom on "stealth growing" and some of the tips & tricks I've learned over the years to avoid headaches, so let me know if that's something that would be useful to you! ⚠️ Please follow all your local laws still. I intend to make that section as a way to help you minimize nuisances, and maximize the value of the limited spaces you have available. ⚠️ That being said, I did have to downsize a little and I'm only going to have 1 indoor tent up for flowering (although you guys never got to see the others anyways). Thankfully, I was able to bring most of my clones / mother stock with me, so I'll have a bit of a jump start with some badass genetics to show off, and I'm lucky enough to have a small garage I get to use as a soil workshop. 👀🌱 I won't have the full backyard garden like before, but I do still have a small balcony / porch area that I'll be using to make a little personal garden. No matter where I go, I'll always find a way to grow some peppers, veggies, herbs, or maybe even a little tea garden. It's one of the small things I really enjoy, and I encourage everyone to do the same!

Sad to see ya move but congrats to your fiancée on getting accepted into her program, that’s amazing news! For sure interested in learning some stealthy grow knowledge, I’ve scaled down from three tents to just one now and probably taking a break over summer and start back up in Nov. or Dec. Looking forward to seeing what you do out there in Cali and for more content in this Skool! All the best to you in this new adventure!
Merry Christmas! 🎄🎅
This year has been a weird one. It’s been so hot here that Christmas totally snuck up on me, and I didn't really feel the Christmas vibes until it was here. That said, this year I’ve been able to have some of the most loving people around me, and I feel blessed to have such strong support systems & authentic relationships with great people in my life. I’m trying to take a little time to appreciate all the experiences (both good & bad) that have shaped my life into where I’m at today, and to be grateful for both of them. I’ve had lots of change this year, but I’m happy with the way things have played out in the long term, even if I might not have recognized that at the time. I’m getting a little wordy, but I have lots of love in my heart this year & I hope some of you are able to feel the same way despite how crazy life can be sometimes. I’m very grateful for all of you on here, as well as the people in my daily life who make small moments special. I hope everyone has a great Christmas / New Year / holiday season! Try to be nice to yourself. Much love, as always. - Jake

Merry Christmas! Happy holidays and happy new year Jake! Wishing you and your family all the best in the years to come. I am incredibly grateful to have crossed paths with you and for all the knowledge you’ve shared with everyone! Thankful for this space to learn and share our experiences, good or bad, there is something to learn from every situation in life. I am a firm believer in finding the positive in any situation, it’s always there for us to discover and grow from, even if it’s not apparent immediately. I look words to seeing all the updates here from everyone, this has been such a great space for us all to learn and grow from! Thank you!!
Bud Density - Dispensary vs. Home Grown
I am curious about the density of buds, specifically what contributes to the density of a bud. I have the same strain, one home grown and the other was bought at the dispensary. The seed I found originally and grew, came from this strain, this same dispensary, and same original grower Abundant Organics. The dispensary buds seem twice as dense as the buds I grew. Is there a way to make the buds more dense? Is this controlled in the flower process? The drying and curing process? Just curious if it’s a variable that can be controlled or if it’s just luck of the draw. The attached pics are of the strain, from the dispensary and from my grow. Also including a side by side. Seems to smoke the same and effects are the same, just different densities. Thanks for the help!

@Jake Hudecek wow! Thanks for the detailed answer, that’s a lot to think about. I am for sure happy with the out come of that grow. I’ll have to see how the clones I took turn out, they are going into week 3 of flower now. Interesting to see how all the little things make a difference in the final product. Thanks!
FOR SCIENCE.
So I’m only a few days into my cure after 13 day dry but for science we made a little Atomic Dog preroll with some Cartel Cargo kief. Both strains from Hooligan Automatics. CHEERS!!

@Jake Hudecek I haven’t tried mixing 3 but I for sure like mixing 2 different strains here and there. I’ll usually try and keep around 3 to 5 different strains on hand because I enjoy the variety and different effects. Looks like I’ll be mixing three soon because now I am curious!
