Alright everyone — let’s do a quick community check-in.
I want to hear what you’re all working on right now. Big projects, small projects, parts on order, ideas still on paper — it all counts. How’s your build coming along? What did you finish recently? What’s the next thing you’re tackling? Drop an update in the comments and post some pictures if you’ve got them. This community gets better the more we share, help each other, and stay involved. Also, if you’ve got friends who own Squarebodies and would fit in here, invite them in. We’re building this the right way — as a family, not just another group. We’ve got another giveaway planned once we hit 500 members, and the more good people we bring in, the better this place becomes for everyone. Really appreciate all of you being here and helping shape this community. Let’s keep it positive, helpful, and focused on building badass Squarebodies together.

Still been working on my 76’ k5 blazer, it’s all back together now, but I’m fighting nozzle drip on my quadrajet and has no response when idle mixture screws are moved. I’ve got a different carburetor I tore down and put in the ultrasonic cleaner, I’m waiting for the rebuild kit to come in on Monday and get it put together to see what it does.
Detent cable seal
What style detent cable seal would a 1976 th350 take? I can’t find anything on oreilys and I’m not sure if different years take different style seals.

@Justin Biddle I found that 76 and below take the oring style and 77 and up take the top hat style. Now I’m just trying to figure out if I can fit the top hat style in if it comes with the new cable.
1976 350 Chevy
Has anybody used this rebuild kit from northernautoparts? It has Hastings rings and king bearings. I’m just cautious because of how cheap it is, but I’ve done some research and it says they are legit online. It’s going in a stock 350 in my 1976 k5 blazer.

Introduction
Hi I’m Jake and a project I’ve been working on is this 1976 k5 blazer. I picked it up for $250 a couple months ago and have been working on it since. My goals are to try and get it ready within the month so I can daily it to work.its been quite a project between dealing with mice that had been in it and swapping the locked up 400 small block that came with it with a used 350 out of another rig.

@Justin Biddle I definitely got lucky, the guy I got it from was the first owner and had bought it in golden Colorado and had the original paperwork still in the glovebox. Unfortunately, the mice had been through it pretty bad.
