my airbnb was ghosted this entire month and i really want long term bookings but im stuck on how to find contacts for all these big companies for insurance and contractors and NHS and stuff. my airbnb is 4 mins from a hospital yet i cant seem to get anyone interested. May popped off but unexpected and a lot of maintenance ate my profit.

This was originally a double booking from booking.com and I turned it into a DIRECT BOOKING as in money via bank transfer AND i sold him on a package I didn’t even have, over the phone, the minute I heard the words “girlfriends birthday” I was so cheeky. I told him “wowww I was even going to ask if it was a couple’s vacation but that’s even sweeter. We actually set up birthday surprises as an add on. It’s not too much, shall I add it for you?” “Yeah go on” BAHAHASKSJSKDKSJDK I didn’t even tell him the price at this point and I didn’t let him ask. I just said perfect I’ll send over the link once I’ve sorted out everything this side. I used the speed of lightening to quickly RUN home and set up the add on omg he was even texting me for the link. For the price, I was thinking £40… my nerves told me it’s too much so I was contemplating 35. but then I asked ChatGPT and it said 75 omg and my mom said 99??? I was like nahh… it will be too much. But I put it as 65 but just before I sent him the description and price when he asked I changed it to 75 It was a GRUELLING 10 min wait. I almost broke and double texted like a b*tch. But I held myself though. I know the game but damn I was rethinking the price and trying to convince myself I won’t care if he doesn’t want it. “Yes sounds good” SKSKSKD GODDDDDDD YOU HAVE DONE IT FOR MEEEEEE 😭😭😭😭 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 THEN HE ASKED FOR MY BANK DETAILS AND THE PAYMENT WAS INSTANT. I know this might seem small and silly😭😭 but this is on a day of me getting 2 other bookings back to back… being ill the entire week and just run down. My dream of Airbnb is coming true and I’m getting to do all the things I’ve wanted to do for people and now I get to plan a Birthday set up for ‘Breanna’😁 I can even take pictures and hopefully put them on socials. I’m trying to find a way to encourage guests to post pics and videos too but I’ll take it one step at a time.

Please Shamil, I have a client who I’ve sourced two properties for in London. The person i recommended to manage it has pissed me off and I started questioning myself. I have my own Airbnb… why can’t I manage it for her? I’m new to the game but I can’t help but feel I’m completely missing my chance to level up here and practically feeding it to someone else What’s the biggest difference between doing your own Airbnb and managing it for someone else? Do you think I can do this? Or do you think I should wait to get more units for myself
