Go Deep, Then Sound Clearly
1. Where are you most tempted to skim? 2. Do you rush interpretation, rush delivery, or move on before an impression has been tested? 1. Can you remember a time when God gave you a word primarily to change you? 2. What practice would help you stay with God longer before speaking? 3. How can our community honor depth without making the final release confusing or overly complicated? Chapter 7 gives a practical structure for a responsible alarm. First, state what God is revealing as plainly as possible. Second, explicitly reject fear and panic. Third, give specific actions. Pray for what? Repent of what? Prepare how? Speak to whom? Wait for what? Fourth, identify the correct audience. Some burdens belong in private prayer. Some belong in the counsel of mature leaders. Some belong to a local congregation or city. Only some belong on a public platform. 1. What makes a prophetic warning clear rather than vague? 2. How can we tell whether a warning belongs in prayer, in leadership counsel or in public? 3. What damage occurs when a warning is released without instruction? Activation: Search, Shape and Sound Step one: Search for two minutes. Ask the Holy Spirit, What are You saying to strengthen, protect or prepare this community or city? Remain quiet. Write only what you receive. Do not interpret yet. Step two: Test for two minutes. Write a Scripture that aligns with the impression. Ask whether the word reflects the nature and purposes of Jesus. Ask whether any part may be coming from fear, assumption or current news. Step three: Shape for two minutes. Put the word into four short lines: What is God highlighting? Why should we not fear? What specific response is He asking for? Who is the intended audience? Step four: Sound for one minute. Was the sound clear? Was there practical direction? Did the word produce faith and readiness rather than fear? Was the intended audience clear?

Great teaching last night pastor!! Question number one I would be most tempted to skim when it comes to a prophetic word for myself. I feel that I need to wait and listen a little longer. And waiting a little longer I would not rush the delivery or move before the impression has been tested or confirmed by scripture. I can remember when God gave me a word on worrying. I worried a lot I am better much better but he revealed to me that worrying was not getting me anywhere. I was worrying because I was trying to control the outcome . I was also complaining a lot because I felt helpless to change the situation in my life at that time. I had to learn that God holds the final outcome. That I didn't have control over the outcome. I need to practice in the area of staying still a little longer and quiet a little longer. I have been on this journey for a minute trying to stay quiet. I tend to want to enter in his presence with Thanksgiving first and to me that requires language and action not being quiet. I know that God knows the meditations of our heart and the message that you shared on Sunday reiterated that, so now that will help me enter the presence of God just being quiet for a moment and knowing that God hears and sees my Thanksgiving. Being quiet will help me hear properly or here more in debt what God is saying and the direction he may be giving me during that time whether the word is for me or someone else. As a community I believe just listening longer rolling over in our hearts intently what God is saying will help us release words that are not confusing or complicated. Staying in the face of God Building upon our relationship with him will increase our confidence. Spending time in scripture by studying, searching and meditating will help tremendously and make a greater impact in our delivery causing our delivery to be less confusing or complicated

What Scripture supports it 5. Whether you should pray, wait, act, or share Closing declaration: “I qualify to hear the voice of God. I will submit myself to formation. I will test what I hear by Scripture. I will make His voice the biggest voice in the room.”
