Is Sugar Really The Villain? 🍌🍓🥭
One of the biggest misconceptions in nutrition is that sugar is the only thing responsible for diabetes and blood sugar issues. The reality is a little more complicated. When most people think about sugar, they picture candy, soda, desserts, and other processed foods. But what about fruit? After all, fruit contains sugar too. 🍌 Bananas 🍇 Grapes 🥭 Mangoes 🍍 Pineapple 🍉 Watermelon Yet these foods are also packed with water, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. So what's the difference? One thing I've learned over the years, is that we can't look at nutrients in isolation. We have to look at the overall lifestyle and dietary pattern. Many people today are consuming diets filled with: 🍔 Fast food 🍟 Fried foods 🍕 Highly processed foods 🍩 Refined snacks and desserts Along with very little movement and very few fruits and vegetables. Over time, these habits can contribute to insulin resistance, where the body's ability to properly manage blood sugar becomes impaired. This is why simply blaming "sugar" often misses the bigger picture. A person eating fresh fruit, drinking green juice, staying active, and consuming mostly whole foods is living very differently from someone whose diet is built around ultra-processed foods. For me, this was one of the reasons I became so interested in fruit, juicing, and whole plant foods. The more I focused on adding fruits, vegetables, hydration, and movement into my life, the better I felt. Instead of asking: ❌ "How do I avoid sugar?" I started asking: ✅ "How do I eat more real food and live a lifestyle that matches the food I'm eating" That shift changed everything. 👇 What are your thoughts? Do you think people focus too much on individual nutrients and not enough on their overall lifestyle?

Yes I do. I realized when I went pescatarian and was only eating fruits veggies drinking juices and would have fish 1 a day as my main protein I lost fast and felt the best I had in years. Everyone would tell me oh it’s too much fruit too much sugar but my insulin levels were perfect. Then again I was walking and going to the gym daily and only drank water when I didn’t drink my juices.

@Julian Ramirez lol because it’s the easiest way to scare us ! I’ve learned to really look into our elder generations books and stories. Most of them used into fruits and veggies for the main meals and they lived very well over 100 years. Blue zone documentaries are my favorites because we can see how much we’ve been lied to.

#MONDAYMOTIVATION
Motivational Monday One of the biggest lessons I've learned on my health journey is this: You don't need to have everything figured out before you start. When most people decide they want to get healthier, they immediately start looking for the perfect plan. The perfect diet. The perfect workout. The perfect supplement. The perfect morning routine. The perfect time to begin. But the reality is that most of what you'll learn about your body comes after you start, not before. When I first began taking my health seriously, I didn't know everything I know today. I didn't know about juicing. I didn't know about cleansing. I didn't know how different foods would affect my energy, digestion, sleep, and overall well-being. I just started. And because I started, I learned. Too many people spend months—or even years—waiting until they have all the answers before taking action. The truth is that health is a journey of discovery. You learn by paying attention. You learn by making small changes. You learn by noticing how your body responds. You learn by being consistent. The version of your health six months from now won't be built from more research. It will be built from more action. So if you've been putting off drinking more water, eating more fruits and vegetables, going for walks, starting a cleanse, exercising, or making healthier choices... This is your reminder: Just start. Start small. Start imperfectly. Start today. Your future self will thank you. 👇 What's one thing you've been putting off that you know would improve your health if you started this week?

#MONDAYMOTIVATION
Motivational Monday Back in 2016, I watched a documentary called What the Health. At the time, I had no idea it would change the course of my life. I wasn't looking to start a juice company. I wasn't thinking about becoming a health coach. I wasn't planning on helping thousands of people through juice cleanses. I was simply looking for answers. What I learned challenged everything I thought I knew about food and health. It inspired me to make a change, and on October 11, 2016, I decided to go vegan. That one decision led me to discover juicing. Juicing led me to my first cleanse. My first cleanse led to deeper healing and a completely different relationship with food. And over time, that journey became the foundation for Julian's Juicebox. Looking back, it's amazing how one moment of inspiration can create a ripple effect that changes your entire life. The biggest lesson I've learned is that transformation doesn't happen overnight. It starts with one decision. One documentary. One book. One conversation. One juice. One day. And then another. I'd love to hear your story: What was the moment that inspired you to take your health more seriously? Drop it in the comments below. 👇 P.S. Here's the link for 'What The Health' in case you haven't seen it. It's a MUST WATCH! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obx7cJtk3fE&t=3485s

Having my gallbladder removal, I’m 40 with all my children grown and almost all out of the house and I realized I need to be healthy to be able to see my grandchildren one day when they come. Not only for that but to feel better in my skin and not wake up in pain everyday. It’s also the one body God gave us so treating myself way better than I did in my early 20’s and 30’s and all the crap I put in it.
