Golf Bag Tools
Thought this might be something different! Curious to hear what you carry with you in your bag whether it be training aids, or just your everyday what’s in the bag on the golf course!

@Cam Lancaster Absolutely pool noodles are important! They are always in the teaching bag. I think tees can do a lot for you, especially with putting and start line drills. I think a mirror is a good tool to have as well, although I have never really used one much.

I like @Jacob Erwin ’s post and thought I’d roll with a similar idea. What’s your favourite club(s) you guys have in the bag that will be hard to get out? For me, I am In love with Titleist hybrids and woods. I think they are unicorns! Won’t be ditching my TSR2 3HY or GT1 3W anytime soon. Here’s the HY off the deck numbers ⬇️

My favourite club: TS2 5 wood. It’s been used as a 3, 4 and 5 in my bag depending on the year.

Which Pro Swing Do You Visualize
Hi all, this note is based on a bit of an aha I had today, while practicing. I do not know about you but I study professional swings in slow motion to highlight and confirm certain elements in my swing I am working. It helps also in developing a visual for me to capture. I have my favourite players that I would love to have their swing. Now I am partial to Rory Mcllroy and Xander Schauffele. Who‘s swing do you like? Tiger, Jack?? While I am not in the camp that everyone has a unique swing and coaches have to customize every swing, I had sort of an aha that for different parts of your swing you need different visualizations or study different types of swings. I would break the swing into 3 components, back swing, downswing or transition, and then impact/follow through. Here is how I think my swing goes, take away is not bad close to Rory good turn, as I start the downswing I become Hulk Hogen or the Rock. I tense up gather all my strength and try to muscle my way to the ball. At impact I think I turn into the chickens from the muppets, my chicken wing is so prominent I am giving serious consideration to renaming my golf bag KFC! As you know I have been working on stopping an over active right shoulder and coming over the top. Trying to relax at the top and let the arms drop the club into the slot. I had trouble visualizing that relax 😎 part. Then I just started slowing down my downswing, I hit the ball better and farther by slowing down. I thought be like Freddy Couples. Maybe you should look at different golfers rather than than your favourite depending on what you are working on. In the backswing, you want to be perhaps Rory Mcllroy, controlled, precise getting to the same potion at the top of the swing, then you want to be Freddie Couples totally relaxed and fluid as you start the down swing, he looks like he is falling asleep hitting the ball, then you want to turn into Tiger or Jack with great hand speed and athleticism. You can pick the golfers that suit your eye and approach.

Appreciate both of your posts! Nothing like flow state, hit the ball, grab the tee and start walking without watching, you know where it’s going. Interesting concept Steve! I definitely understand what you’re saying. I personally love Tommy Fleetwoods swing, and his move. I try and mimic most of it, as I have some very similar tendencies to him, and his practice station applies closely to what I am trying to achieve. Sometimes I find it helpful to find a swing that is completely opposite and try to create that feeling with the visual you see. For example, I get stuck underneath, so looking at somebody who is way over the top, is what I need to do to achieve the outcome I want. Thanks for sharing your ideas!
