Pricing for direct sales
Does the pricing on your book on your site have to match what it sells for on Amazon, etc?
Halp! What do I do?
Someone left a rave review of my most current book in a huge reader group. They have 2 million members or something insane like that. That book has done well for the last three or four days. I’m wondering if I can somehow boost the algorithm by doing an ad or something? It’s ranked around 6400. I’d love to get it to stick there for a while or even go higher. I did write on a post it when this book came out that it was going to be my breakout so I’d love to manifest that! Any advice would be appreciated

@Christina Diane I have my website nearly done in just a few hours. Just waiting for my domain to switch over from my old Wordpress site. It was so easy! I even have my reader magnet set up for new newsletter signups. I won’t need Book Funnel or Mailchimp. Everything is in one convenient place.

@Christina Diane yes, check it out. I’m still waiting for there to be a catch. Lol. It’s $191 a year, but with BF, my website and Mailchimp, I was paying a lot more…and I wasn’t set up for direct sales.
Delegate a thing
My assistant Joyce has availability. Her rates are $7/hour. She helps me: - format books in Vellum - keep things organized - publish books wide, using draft to digital, publish drive, and going to direct to some stores (I trust her with my passwords. Sometimes I have her leave the book in draft on Amazon and I do the final check...then green light her to publish the book wide) - make videos for Tiktok/Reels (I send her video of me doing page flips of my book) - Set up beautiful newsletters (I added her as an assistant on Mailerlite so she has her own login, but she'll also leave things in draft so I can add a personal note) - Post on socials - and more! Make an SOP video of you doing the thing and she can learn how you like things done [email protected] If you're unsure about hiring people, you could try hiring Joyce for a single project so you can feel into what it's like to have great support. Babies know how to delegate, but it gets trained out of us, and many of us feel like we have to do everything. But if you've ever ordered a cup of coffee and let the barista pull the espresso for you without running behind the counter to fix it, congrats! You've successfully delegated. My new mantra is "I have a world-class publishing and marketing team and feel so supported." I'm using it to step into a billionaire business owner energy (You think a CEO at that level does everything in their business? It's possible to hire people who are BETTER at the task than you).

I definitely need help! I’m trying to set up a second reader magnet for my Contemporary romance titles, taking those books wide, and hoping to release a trilogy (of reverted rights titles) in early 2027. I have a large backlist of traditionally published books that want to put out when it makes financial sense. My sales suck right now. Decent clicks on my Amazon ads, but lousy conversion. I think it’s the covers and blurbs. I’ll be in touch, Joyce!
Books Metadata & Links Tracker
Hi everyone! Joyce here, Lee Savino's assistant 😊 I’m sharing a blank Wide Books Metadata & Links Tracker for authors who need help organizing their books across multiple retailers. This template gives you one place to track things like ISBNs, Amazon links, Genius links, wide store links, pricing, formats, categories, and other book details, especially helpful if you’re publishing wide or managing multiple formats/series. Feel free to make a copy and adjust it for your own books. Hope this helps keep everything cleaner and easier to find!🥰

I’m the author of 36 traditionally published sweet romances. I am in the process of republishing my backlist.
