Hi Steve, So if I set my first appt a mile away from my home in Mesa, AZ, drive to my next appt, working throughout the day as far as Phoenix, and then my last appt for the day back in Mesa near my home, putting on 40 working miles, five days a week—for four weeks. That's 800 miles for a monthly total of $580 that I can write off my taxes? $580 X 12 months is $6,960 for the year. Do I need to document every appt with the individual's name, the time, and mileage, or just the first and last appt's info? Thanks, Jack
Leaving Money on The Table?
The IRS is now paying $72.5/cents per mile for business miles. Are you tracking your miles? This deduction for the average person equates to over $1,000 in tax savings every year. Gas prices are high....or are they?
