This is a great book by Harvey MacKay. An essential read for everybody. I am noticing that people out there are getting knocked around by higher prices, gas (of course), unexpected bills, job losses, and the like. What enables you to weather these storms is your backup plan. Many people cruise along and don't start digging their well until the other one dries up. Then it is too late. Houses go into foreclosure, cars get repossessed, etc. The key and ONLY takeaway for me is to start NOW. My mentor said once that there are so many ways to make money, you just have to pick one and roll with it. What's your plan B? Are you ready to start one TODAY?

Do you know where your business is? How much did you make? How much did you lose? This is an IRS requirement if you ever get audited. They will ask for monthly financials!
