High-paying clients don't want trendy editing styles
Most editors edit the same way for every client. 💻 Apple style is taking over right now... And technically, the editors are doing a 'good' job: The designs are clean, The animations are smooth, Maybe even the deadlines are met... But high-paying clients don't care about what's trendy. 💡They want editing that feels theirs. Their vibe. Their channel. Their audience. And when it doesn't... ❌ They might not tell you. Instead, they'll: - Slowly pull back on new projects - Start giving vague feedback - Quietly trial other editors... That's how you lose a $3K/month client. Not because you're bad. But because your editing doesn't feel like theirs. Next Wednesday, we're running the Client DNA™ Masterclass inside this community... Where I'll show you how to fix this. We'll also build a unique style for one of your clients, together. Live. See the full details here: → https://masterclass.full-time-editor.com/ Drop your questions below ⬇️ P.S. If you're already inside the paid Full-Time Editor program, you're getting this for free as always

@Artem Linov It was more your point about trends coming and going that resonated. It made me realize that just relying on one style, even if it looks good, isn’t always the smart move. I haven’t worked with clients yet, but it shifted my thinking more towards wanting to make simpler, more intentional content that actually fits the client. Its something I'd like to learn more about in terms of how to go about doing it.

Hey I'm Jack 👊 I’ve been editing for a few years now and I’m pretty comfortable in After Effects. Right now my biggest challenge is finding my footing in the editing space. I want to try a lot of different things, but it feels a bit messy when it comes to building a clear personal brand. At the moment, I’m really enjoying SaaS / “naughtyjuan”-style edits—I love the high-quality short-form stuff. But I also want to get better at simpler, long-form content that actually sells. I watched Artem’s recent video where he made $3K in 3 days and mentioned there were no animations, which got me really curious about what that kind of content looks like. I’d love to understand that style more so I can move in a similar direction. I’m going to check out the Creative Director Shift training too. I’m enjoying editing a lot right now, just feeling a bit boxed into short-form and trying to expand into long-form with more purpose 🎯
