This is your sign to quit social media for 7 days
I haven’t scrolled on TikTok, YouTube shorts, Instagram, or anything like that for 8 months. I don’t watch TV shows, I don’t watch movies (except for school), and I don’t even watch YouTube videos (only my own). The most “entertaining” thing I do is listen to audiobooks. Most people have never even gone a single day without scrolling. Smokers can go weeks without smoking. But many people can’t go 24 hours without opening up social media. That shows how strong this addiction is. I tried to quit for years and failed. I tried dopamine detox, app blockers, even texting a friend every single day. Nothing worked. I always went back to scrolling. What finally worked for me was on January 16, 2025. That was the day I said: enough is enough. Since then, I haven’t scrolled once (think about that, it’s actually crazy) Here’s the thing: you don’t have to start by quitting forever. (even though the post suggests that) That’s too hard. You just need to prove to yourself that you can do it for 7 days. So here’s my challenge to you: - For the next 7 days, cut only one thing: short form content. - You can still watch a long YouTube video, or a movie if you want. - But no TikTok, no shorts, no reels. That’s it. 7 days. No short form content. After those 7 days, you’ll feel the difference, trust me. This is exactly what all my students and clients have done, all with very very good results. When’s the last time you went even one full day without scrolling? (ON PURPOSE)

social media was never worth it without the onion method…
You think social media is worth it, but is it really? Like, when you really stop and think about it, is consuming so much social media actually worth it? I learned from Sam Ovens (I’m pretty sure it was him) about this mindset called the “any benefit.” Basically, if there’s any benefit to something, then people assume it must be worth it. But that’s just not true. Yeah, there are benefits to social media. For example, maybe you learned about your business model there, or you picked up some habits, good or bad. But the bad things about social media heavily outweigh the good. And honestly, you can still get all the good stuff without all the bad stuff, if you just use some discipline and actually focus. For me, I don’t consume short-form content, and I don’t watch TV shows. The only movies I watch are for school. Other than that, I only listen to specific podcasts, what my mentor recommends, and then audiobooks. And you don’t need social media for any of that. You can still listen to audiobooks. You can still educate yourself heavily without it. So maybe it’s time to realize that social media is just not worth it. And maybe, just maybe, you should stop consuming it and put that energy and focus into something way more beneficial, like reading books, listening to audiobooks, learning from your mentors, or tuning into specific podcasts. If you have any questions about this, I’ll do my best to answer. I’m pretty busy these days, but yeah, if you’ve got questions just let me know.

Why Quitting Shorts Will Change Your Life
Yo what’s up boys In this short post, I just want to go over why I think you should cut out short-form content from your life. So, many believe that short-form content is very difficult to cut out because they don’t really think about it properly. They think that, okay, to cut out short-form content from my life, I basically need to quit social media, I need to stop watching everything. I need to quit my TV shows. I need to quit watching movies. I need to quit watching MrBeast YouTube videos. I need to stop watching every entertainment YouTube, edutainment YouTube, and education. I need to quit everything to quit short-form content. No, you don’t need to quit everything, bro. If I told you just quit short-form content and let everything else be, you’re all good. You can do everything else. You might feel like you’re not making any progress towards your goals. You might feel like, oh yeah, this isn’t really changing anything. But it truly is. It’s helping you to such a degree that you don’t even understand it. So just try for the next 14 days. Just try and not watch anything other than short-form content. And also, if you guys have any questions about this, I’ll be more than happy to help you out. I quit watching short-form content eight months ago. I haven’t watched any TV shows in eight months. I don’t even watch YouTube videos. I consume nothing other than reading books, listening to audiobooks, a few podcasts, and then my mentors.

Why Quitting Shorts Will Change Your Life
to the guys still struggling with screen time...
we know it's though bro, we know you've tried, we know how difficult it is, and we know it's something you have to change. I think we've all struggled with screen time at some point in our life, whether that point was in the past, future or right now as ur reading this. 5 months ago I quit everything, I stopped watching YouTube, I quit tiktok and instagram, I stopped watching movies and TV-shows. I basically quit everything. this was the best decision of my life. and I truly hope you can experience something similar to what I have, and if I had to give u one piece of advice it would be to take it slow. Slow down brother, take it one step at a time, what most people to is they jump 10 steps forward and then they fall 11 steps back. I don't want this for you... So just take it slow brother take one step at a time, then stand still and make sure the wind doesn't push you over. If someone had told me this when I was trying to quit 3 years ago I probably wouldn't have listened to it, but right now I wish I would've, and in 3 years if you don't take any action on this you will look back with regret as well. so how do you actually take one step forward??? all you do is you identify the worst addiction in ur life and u target all ur energy towards that, everything else doesn't matter, and that's extremely important to keep in mind. hope this helps you out the slightest, also if u have any questions about it then leave a comment below, it will both help you out but also someone else who needs to see this… cya brother :)
