Clarity or Confusion
🚨 Leadership Check: Clarity or Confusion? If your team is missing the mark, let me ask you something: Did you clearly define the outcome… or did you assume they understood it? Because teams don’t fail from lack of effort. They fail from lack of clarity. What you don’t define… gets interpreted. What gets interpreted… gets executed inconsistently. So the real question is not, “Why aren’t they performing?” It’s, “Where have I failed to make the standard clear?” 🔧 Your Move Before this week ends, identify one area where your team is unclear. Then fix it: • Define the outcome • Define what success looks like • Define what “done right” actually means And don’t skip this… Have your team repeat it back to you. If they can’t explain it clearly, you didn’t lead it clearly. 💬 Drop it below What’s one area on your team right now that needs more clarity? Let’s clean it up. Coach Mike

There are times where the outcome was clearly defined; unfortunately, there are individuals who are a part of the team that overthink and UNDER listen. As a result of that, information has to be repeated multiple time. Even still, they will say "I'm confused," "for clarification," or ask other questions instead of intently listening to the directions being given. I give out expectations in 3rd grade language, and people still have problems understanding.
New Word of the Week - Discipline
This week's "Word of the Week" is DISCIPLINE. What does it mean to you and your leadership? Let's go!

Discipline and Disciple have the same root word..........meaning TO TEACH. Some times, individuals have to be disciplined to save them from themselves.
Feedback Without Fallout
Inside The Collective Issue 43 reached 51% readership (and that's humbling). That tells me something important. Leaders are not just reading. They are reflecting. Feedback Without Fallout struck a nerve because it shifted the focus from communication techniques to leadership responsibility. - Asking for feedback. - Normalizing it. - Giving it with discernment. If you have not read Issue 43 yet, take a few minutes and go back to it. Read it here. The reflection question alone is worth the pause: When was the last time I asked for feedback and listened without defending myself? Now we move forward. Issue 44 releases today, February 17th. We are building on this momentum. Leadership is not a one issue conversation. It is a discipline. Stay sharp. Stay intentional. Read the next release. Coach Mike

Feedback is the fuel one needs to continue to move forward. What we think looks great could be greater if you are humble enough to accept all feedback and improve.
